Since I've been to college, I have met a lot of people from cities and from other small towns. I've realized that city kids are different than small town kids. If you're from a small town like me, you'll understand this list.
1. You get confused when people gape at your class size in high school.
Wait, you "only" had 200 people? We barely had 100 in my class!
2. Cruising around with friends is a solid hang out plan.
I know some people who are not from a small town do this but there is a difference. Just take a cruise around, you'll see what I mean.
3. Walmart is the place to go.
You will never know what you will find to do/buy at a Walmart at 1 a.m. You will also never know what you will see. Proceed with caution.
4. CAMPFIRES ARE A NECESSITY.
Campfires are one of the best things around. I have loved them since I was a child. Some of the best memories I have with my friends were made around a campfire. Summer nights were never complete without a fire.
5. Your squad includes the people you were friends with in preschool.
Y'all have known each other since diapers, so it's hard to not be friends.
6. You get angry when someone trash talks your town.
Small town life isn't for everyone. Yes I know it is not always the greatest but you are not allowed to trash talk it. You have to earn that right.
7. "Hey do you know Charl--"
Odds are if this person if from the area where we are from, we know them.
8. "I can't believe you're from a small town! You seem too smart!"
PSA: small town ≠ small minded.

When farming season comes along, don't be in a hurry.
10. There's at least one hunter in each family
That doesn't mean there is just one, just at least one. More than likely, families will have plenty of hunters to keep the family fed for the whole year.
11. When it comes down to it, the community rallies behind someone when they experience a tragedy.
Small town prayers, there is nothing like them.
