There's no shame in it.

9 Signs You Have An Old Soul

I know I'm not the only one who wishes they could take a break from the 21st century sometimes; take a trip back in time to see how things worked a few decades back and see how much simpler the times were. In today's fast-paced world, us old-soulers have to stick together. Don't know if you are one? No worries, here's 9 signs you may have an old soul too [& there is absolutely no shame in that whatsoever].

1. You Watch HGTV Likes It's Going Out Of Style

It doesn't matter what time of the day it is, your TV is constantly on HGTV. You know that Chip & Jo are your spirit animals, the Property Brothers basically have a monopoly on the channel, and you know that Hillary and David argue way too much for their show to actually be enjoyable.

2. Antiquing Excites You

Going antiquing on the weekends gets you so excited. No, you may not have the money to buy everything since antiques run pretty pricey, but that doesn't take the exhilaration out of it or stop you from envisioning how you're going to decorate your future house one day... or reliving what it used to be like in the olden days.

3. Let's Not Forget About Flea Markets

Flea markets are actually God's gift to this earth. Take a day and go rummage through a flea market and I promise you that you won't be disappointed with what you find. It's antiquing at less than half the price.

4. You'd Rather Curl Up On A Porch With A Good Book

Yeah, going out with friends is fun and all; and yeah, TV shows are nice to watch and all, but nothing really beats curling up at night on the porch to read a good book.

5. Turning Old Things To New Gives You Joy

Here's a secret: go to a flea market. Seriously, you'll find so many old pieces of furniture that just need to be spruced up and refinished a little bit. And for old-soulers, the result basically has you feeling like a proud mom wanting to show off their child.

6. Spending Time With Family Makes You Happy

You know how nothing makes grandparents happier than having their whole family together under one roof? Yeah, you don't actually have to be a grandparent for that to make you happy.

7. You Constantly Wish You Lived In A Different Decade

It's a daily occurance that you find yourself wishing you lived in the past. Not your own past, but decades back in the past, just for your own curiosity.

8. Simple Things Like Gardening Make Your Soul Happy

Don't worry about the jokes that other people have for you when it comes to 'being a grandma' and gardening... because you're ahead of the game and found that the simple things in life are the ones that make your soul happy; so continue to do those simple things and you'll find that you will be an all-round happier person.

9. You'd Rather Do Things The Old-Fashioned Way

Forget taking shortcuts to get things done faster, you'd rather do things the old-fashioned way and have them turn out right. This applies for all aspects of life, whether it be cooking, dating, or just driving on a roadtrip.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
