9 Signs That You Have A Great Dad
This Seekers Journey

Dads are a special gift to us, and we don't often thank them enough. But if your dad is anything like mine, he's sure to be a great one. So don't forget to thank your dad for all of his greatness if:

1. He introduced you to all the goofy comedies moms seems to dislike.

Was I the only kid who knew every line from Ace Ventura?

2. The constant dad jokes, always.

"Dad, I'm hungry." "Hi hungry, I'm dad."

3. He makes the BEST microwaveable food.

Moms may hate spaghetti-o's, but no one could deny dads bomb spaghetti and meatballs. Also, I feel like, as a dad, you learn to eat whatever's in front of you.

4. He's always in the stands, or maybe even your coach.

A good dad will come to every softball game, but a great dad is on the field with you for all your rec league wins (and sometimes, mostly, losses.)

5. He doesn't let you leave the house without some love.

We can all understand a dad's need for hugs and kisses, but even at 18? Really?

6. He understands when you're "too sick" to go to school, and takes you to go get ice cream instead.

Some days, it took a while for him to understand that I just didn't want to go, but all I needed to do was give a little extra love and a big smile. It's the little things like ice cream dates that keep a good relationship going.

7. He is always up for a good old-fashioned, silly selfie.

There's no need to really explain this one.

8. He says he'll fix everything, but never seems to.

Hey dad, remember the tire on my bike from 3rd grade? I think it's still flat.

9. He's there for you, no matter what.

Whether you need him to come pick you up after you've realized you ended up at the wrong party freshmen year, or you need him to walk you down the aisle at 18, he'll always be there, ready to help you through that time in your life.

Thank you for being such a great dad. You are awesome, and I can't imagine life without you.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
