Is it really true that there are only two types of people in this world? I was told that you are either a cat person or a dog person, but what if I am both? I will admit, I do love cats of all colors and sizes. You do not have to own a cat to actually love them, however to all the cat people it is referable to have one. Often times, I find myself stalking cat profiles on Instagram to fill the void of missing my own precious kittens. I used to think no one but myself loved cats like I do, and people who did were just weird. Essentially I hid my love for the feline species to myself, until one day I was wearing a cat shirt and I met many other amazing cat loving people. If you have ever teared up at an adorable photo of a kitten, start to chase random stray cats to give them your love, or even made friends based off your love for felines, then you are a cat lover. As a cat lover there are some simple truths that all cat owners and lovers know. Here are just the basic rules anyone should know before owning a precious ball of fur.
1. Feeding Time
Cats should be fed on a routine basis with high quality food (You know the Friskies brand). They do not take kindly to schedule changes, so it is better to pick a time of the day you know you will be able to feed your little ones.2. Little baby
Every cat deserves to be loved and held everyday. If you are truly a cat lover you will understand that your babies need your constant love and affection.
3. Clean up! Clean up!
It would be every cat owner's dream to have their cat use the toilet, however that is not a reality. Be sure to pick up after your little furry friend, because if you don't they will go elsewhere.
4. Adventure Time
They want out, and then they want in, and then back out once again. If they are not spending their free time looking outside, then they are mostly like wanting to go outside. At least for my cats they will go out for a solid five minutes and then want right back in, so be sure to be waiting next to the door for their safe return.
5. Do not aggravate!
Just because cats are adorable and cute does not mean that do not get upset. Be careful if they seem like they are angry there is a very high chance you might get bitten or scratched.
6. It can get knotty
Grooming is very essential and well like among cats. Knots do not remove themselves, and if not properly taken care of can harm your fluff ball.
7. Purrrrfect
Do not ever stop petting your kitten once they begin to purr it means you are actually doing something right. Love from your cat is earned, and who would ever want to stop caressing something so adorable?
8. Cuddle sesh
Whenever your cat wants to cuddle, you must cuddle them. You live in their world and not the other way around.
9. Failure to comply
If you own a beautiful and hand crafted gift from God in the form of a cat, and you fail to comply may end in your demise.
