9 Reasons Why INFJ’s Can Be Psycho

As an INFJ, I can vouch that I am somewhat psycho. Having said that, not all INFJ’s are psycho. If you think you are a psycho INFJ, most likely you might be an unhealthy one that is struggling.

1. We observe our world.

We observe people, we observe buildings, we observe plants -- we just love to observe things to a great extent. It comes handy in life sometimes, but other times it can distract us from what is more important.

2. We observe because we make mental patterns and reminders.

INFJ use these patterns collected to think and decide our situations and feelings. These thoughts can be internalized and unhealthily obsessed over.

3. We can be hot and cold very easily.

Generally speaking, we are people with little to a lot of patience. It all depends on which one we’re feeling to have with you based on the kind of “energy” you give me.

4. INFJ are very good at detecting different kinds of emotional energy.

Sometimes we feel like we might even know exactly what you’re thinking. It’s just our ability to empathize. We can also become very egotistic about feeling like we know everything even when in reality, we really don’t know everything.

5. Simultaneously we are both logical and idealistic.

We would like to be considered logical, and we use logic to filter our idealism… however we are intrinsically idealistic in the sense that we try to visualize the full potential of any circumstance.

6. We don’t feel like we belong.

Many fellow INFJ’s report feelings of isolation, and confusion with identity. Even if we seem popular or even extroverted, we are never fully comfortable with the large crowd because we can’t fully assimilate to the majority.

7. We know how good and how bad we can be.

Our potentials for good or evil shock us. Sometimes we have extremely morbid and dense thoughts. We are also very good at adapting our image and personalities to our advantage.

8. A lot of INFJ are HSP.

Especially unhealthy INFJ’s. Many things can trigger an unhealthy INFJ, including but not limited to: sounds, lights, smells, and memories.

9. Sometimes we rely on the MBTI too much.

Remember how we love patterns? Just know not to get too absorbed into reading them and reflecting them onto society. It’s hard but take it with a grain of salt because it’s not good to live relying on a personality test without getting to learn the true personalities of people.

Even though we may have our psycho tendencies, INFJ's can be really great people to have in your life.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
