9 Reasons We All Want To Be Blair Waldorf

Let’s admit it, we’ve all binge-watched all seven seasons of the "Gossip Girl" series at least once or twice. It’s beyond addicting; there’s just so much drama and scandal that we can't stop watching. The character that you either hate or love is probably Blair Waldorf, who's evil and scheming, but let’s face it, we all want to be like her. Here are just a few reasons why.

1. She is the Queen B.

Let’s all admit that we would have no problem being one of Blair’s “minions” and waiting on her every need. Just to be able to sit on the stairs of Constance and pour yogurt on little Jenny’s head would be an honor. After all, who needs to think for themselves when they have Blair to think and make decisions for them?

2. Chuck…. duh.

Blair and Chuck’s relationship is everything and more. They have literally been through everything together and still somehow managed to make it out in love with one another. She was the woman who changed him from a heartless, spoiled, rich trainwreck of a boy to a successful, self-driven man. And yeah, we all wish we could have our very own Chuck Bass with his beautiful, chiseled jawline.

3. She’s so effortlessly sassy.

Everything that Blair does is sassy. The way she walks, the way she talks, just the overall way she carries herself. She looks sassy and like she has her stuff together -- goals.

4. When she loves, she loves hard.

Blair’s love for Chuck is unreal. She would do anything and everything for him. Despite all of the times Chuck abandoned and betrayed her, she continued to love him. She will go out of her way to destroy the people who have hurt the people she loves and cares about.

5. She pulls.

First Nate, then Chuck, then Prince Louis, then Dan. Blair literally dated all the cutest guys on the show. But obviously, none of them phased her one bit other than Chuck Bass.

6. She can and will destroy your life with just one sentence.

Jenny, Vanessa, Charlie, just to name a few lives that have gone up in flames thanks to Blair. Don’t mess with her. She is indestructible and the only person who has the power to take her down is Chuck Bass.

7. She makes a chunky headband look good.

Since season one, episode one, Blair always wore her awkward, chunky headbands on her head. No one else besides her could pull that look off. We all tried to wear them in middle school and we all looked straight up awkward, and it simply just wasn’t cute. But on Blair, it somehow looks good, and she works it. It’s her trademark.

8. She has Dorota.

We all wish we had our very own Dorota. Calling her Blair’s “butler” (look up what a female butler is called) would do her no justice. Dorota is so much more than one of Blair’s mom’s employees, she is like Blair’s second mom, she practically raised her.

9. She doesn’t let anything stop her from getting what she wants.

Blair will do whatever it takes to get what she wants when she wants it. She will destroy anything and everything that gets in her way.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
