It's that time of year again. The college acceptance letters are pouring in, and hopefully, you got one from Indiana University South Bend (IUSB). But if you're still wondering why you should choose IUSB over any college, there are nine simple reasons why.

1. They have a ton of resources on campus.

Between the Titan Success Center, Titans Feeding Titans food pantry, and many other places on campus, you have a wide variety of choices to pick from if you need help with issues on campus. If you need help with that English paper or need some help with food for the week, we got you covered. All you have to do is ask.

2. Everyone is willing to help.

Literally. Everyone. Having a bad day? There's a good chance not only will people notice, but they will most likely want to help you turn it around. It's helped me out many times and part of the reason why I love going here.

3. Small class sizes.

Sure, your common core classes are normally 20-25 people (and rarely bigger than that), but most of your degree-specific classes have less than or around 15 students. That means you have more chances to get help and actually succeed in classes. (The only con to this scenario is that teachers will really notice if you skip!)

4. There are some interesting classes.

I have been in some very interesting classes. Next semester, for instance, I am going to be in a Communications class about deception and lying. Not to mention, every summer there are trips offered abroad that can count for common core courses or towards your degree.

5. Housing is worth the money and then some.

River Crossing Campus Housing hasn't been around that long, but the housing arrangements are amazing. You don't have to pay for electricity, water, or heat. The major appliances are already there, along with beds and couches, so you don't have to worry about that. You can choose between rooming by yourself, with one other person, or with three other people. Also, each semester, students who reside in River Crossing get $300 dollars put on their Student ID accounts to use at the campus Grille, SubConnection, and Starbucks vendor (with the only catch being that you have to spend it before the end of the year, as they do not spill over to the next school year).

6. There are a ton of work study jobs offered on campus.

Just look around and you'll find one that'll fit for you! You could work at the Student Activities Center, the Gateway, the food places, or really anywhere you want. I'm working my dream job already (I work in the campus theatre) and I'm not even out of college already!

7. You can get a good degree for a cheap price.

IUSB is a satellite Indiana University campus, so you'll graduate with an IU degree. The fees are very low, especially compared to other IU campuses, and it is a quality education with professionals with actual field experience teaching the classes. I have one professor that teaches Costume Design and has an impressive list of experience in the field.

8. We offer a lot of degrees.

IUSB offers close to 90 degree programs, so no matter your inclination or interest, we probably have a degree here for you!

9. Basically, everyone is nice and it's just a great campus.

Honestly, there is very little wrong with this campus. It's great, the people are great, and there are very few reasons not to go to this school. Unless you are afraid of quality education at a low and affordable price.

What are you waiting for? Go accept that entry to IUSB! You won't regret it!

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
