Everyone knows what I'm talking about. One day, the internet just decided, cats weren't cool anymore, neither were puppies. They were all replaced. With sloths. I couldn't go through my Facebook without seeing at least one sloth video or appreciation post. Two of my friends texted me the same sloth GIF within a week. Baby sloths were becoming more common than kittens. I thought it was weird at first, but then I realized that maybe, sloths are just better. To prove that the hype might actually be real, here's a list of why the sloth is everyone's new favorite animal.

1. They are actually adorable.

I mean, how can you not appreciate that face?

2. They also love everyone’s previous favorite animals.

Don't worry, cats are still feeling the love.

3. They won’t judge you if you just can’t make it to the gym for a day… or five.

4. They understand that sometimes, everyone needs a nap.

Like, really appreciate it.

6. They're great with kids.

7. They're chivalrous.

Better than a boyfriend any day, right?
