9 Reasons Dogs Are Better Than People

We all know it's true.

At the end of a long day of work or classes, talking to people is probably the last thing you want to do. You'd rather not tell your mom about your day or call your doctor's office because you've been dealing with obnoxious co-workers and/or customers all day. All you really want to do is snuggle up on the couch with your dog. Honestly, at the end of the day (or really anytime), you have no problem spending time with your dog but don't even want to think about being around people. It's pretty clear that dogs are just, well, better than people, and here's why:

1. They won't talk back to you.

Your roommate might not want to hear you complain for an hour about your coworkers, but your dog will listen and not say a word!

2. They make great blankets.

There's just no better way to fall asleep than with your dog curled up next to you, snuggling and keeping you warm at the same time.

3. They don't hold grudges.

While people seem to hold onto your mistakes, dogs forgive you almost instantly. Maybe Fido was sad because you left for work in the morning, but his disappointment definitely won't show when you come home at the end of the day.

4. They appreciate the little things.

Never have I seen a human as excited over a stick or a chewed-up tennis ball as a dog can get.

5. They're fiercely loyal.

People may turn their backs on you, but dogs certainly won't. Your dog is your dog and he knows it.

6. They won't judge you.

When you're out with your friends and they all order salads, it's unlikely that you'll opt for that huge bowl of pasta. But when it's just you and your dog? You'll enjoy every last piece of spaghetti.

7. They're practically always in a good mood.

Your boss's mood may change every ten seconds, but, for the most part, your dog is just happy that you're home and happy to be alive.

8. They're happy doing absolutely nothing.

It seems like your friends always want to be going out and doing something all the time, even when you'd rather just be watching Netflix on the couch. Your dog will be right there with you, happy to lounge around.

9. They're just plain cute.

Let's face it...dogs are cuter than people. That's just all there is to it!

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
