9 Life Quotes From 'Grey's Anatomy'
fanpop.com

I've recently started watching "Grey's Anatomy." I know. You don't have to tell me. It was a bad decision considering it is so close to finals, but I couldn't help it. And don't tell anyone, but my boyfriend is even watching it (shocker, I know!). I thought I would be one of those girls who would never watch this show, but sadly I am an emotional wreck now for watching it.

But you know what I love about this show? The true, real life quotes that these characters speak. Who would've thought that these fictional characters could help me get through a week of school, the rest of the semester and life in general? Let's take a look at some of my most favorite quotes from my most favorite characters of my most favorite show.

1. "If you want crappy things to stop happening to you, then stop accepting crap and demand something more." -Cristina Yang

Same, Yang, same.

2. "And people can be broken, sure, but any surgeon knows, what's broken can be mended. What's hurt can be healed. That no matter how dark it gets, the sun's going to rise again." - Meredith Grey

3. "I make no apologies for how I chose to repair what you broke." - Meredith Grey

Don't we all get that smirky look when we know we've got someone trapped like that?

4. "Have some fire. Be unstoppable. Be a force of nature." - Cristina Yang

5. "Supporting someone and respecting someone isn't the same thing." - Mark Sloan

6. "You don't give them something to run from; you give them someone to run to." - Richard Webber

7. "For a kiss to be really good, you want it to mean something. You want it to be with someone you can't get outta your head, so that when your lips finally touch you feel it everywhere. A kiss so hot and deep you never wanna come up for air." - Alex Karev

Thank you, angel Karev. Thank you.

8. "You can complain about it, or you can adjust your expectations." - Izzie Stevens

9. "Sometimes it's good to be scared ... it means you still have something to lose." - Meredith Grey

Who would have thought that a simple TV show about nurses and doctors would turn into one of the most loved shows of all time? Who would have thought that we would get so much life advice from a group of interns, residents and doctors? Not me. Thank you to every "Grey's Anatomy" character for helping me find my true self, for helping me through this last semester of school right now and for being that "friend" at midnight who can give me tons of advice by working on patients.

Now that all these quotes have made you cry, go watch "Grey's." Meredith Grey and I only have one piece of advice:

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
