Because we're the generation that grew up alongside "The Boy Who Lived."

9 Inarguable Signs You're Obsessed With Harry Potter

1. You complain about the movies, but still went to see every single one.

Hermione’s hair wasn't frizzy enough, Harry’s eyes were the wrong color, and they used two different actors for Dumbledore and thought we wouldn’t notice. The movie producers seemed to always leave out the most important details, yet you could never bring yourself to miss the midnight premiere of each one.

2. You use Harry Potter references in everyday conversations.

Your friends, parents, and siblings are probably tired of hearing you use them too.

3. You have a Harry Potter playlist.

As much as you love the books, the movies have an undeniably amazing music score. You most likely have multiple, if not all of the songs from each movie saved on your iTunes. You also catch yourself humming the intro music way too often to be healthy.

4. You've read some poorly written fan fiction.

Once you’ve read all the books you become somewhat desperate, okay? You loved reading some of the off cannon character pairings, but it doesn’t mean you agree with them all.

5. Your favorite musical is undoubtedly A Very Potter Musical.

In addition to being one of the best Harry Potter parodies ever made, it has an amazing soundtrack and is totally awesome!

6. You spent way too much money at the Harry Potter theme park and on Harry Potter merchandise.

I may or may not have bought a Marauder’s Map that is hanging in my bedroom. And of course, you couldn’t miss out on buying cup after cup of Butterbeer! Some may say it’s all a big scam for money, but it’s important to us.

7. You've always wondered what your Patronus would be.

What animal would I be? And would I ever be able to cast a Patronus charm? Many hours are spent wondering what shape your Patronus would take.

8. You can't ever truly be best friends with someone who hasn't read the books.

There’s just something very dodgy about a person who doesn’t like Harry Potter. You become personally offended when you find out they haven't read the books. Plus, if they haven’t read the books how will they pick up on all of your references and understand your love for J.K. Rowling?

9. You know that Hogwarts is your home, and you'll love it until the very end.

The books have been a major comfort to you. And you couldn’t imagine ever having to part ways with the stories that taught you major life lessons.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
