Traveling is always a fun thing especially when it's for a big event, going to the beach or just for a much needed vacation. Although some would rather fly because it's faster and less exhausting road trips are always fun when you make them fun. Here are some essentials..
1. Phone charger is a must
If you like listening to the music on your phone or need the GPS on your phone to travel with, this will come in handy.
2. Drinks and snacks
Snacking helps you stay awake just by the crunching of chips or certain tastes. Drinks are a must anyway because we all get thirsty and depending on the duration of the trip, you'll need it.
3. Blanket and a pillow
If you're a passenger this will help you nap for a little bit before it's your time to drive. It is necessary to get rest before getting on the road.
4. A good riding partner
A long road trip is miserable sometimes but when you have the right person riding with you who can keep good conversation going, it makes everything so much easier and stress free.
5. A good book
Sometimes you get bored of looking at the road when you're not the one driving at that moment so wake your brain up with a little reading. If it's a good book you're more likely to finish it during the duration of your travels.
6. Comfy clothes
Traveling in jeans sounds like one of the most horrific things I think I have ever heard of. Make sure you wear some sweats and a comfy t-shirt so you're not uncomfortable or irritable.
7. Energy drinks
These can really help you when you've been driving all day and continue to drive into the late hours of the night. Other than good sleep the night before your trip these are a must needed purchase.
8. A good rest-stop plan
Make sure you have a good sense of when you know you're going to need to stop and make sure you don't exceed about 20ish minutes so you can get right back on the road.
9. Music
I like to think this is the most important part of the trip because everyone loves some good jams playing while you're driving for what feels like forever. It keeps you going and can also help you wake up.
Don't forget these things and you'll have a better trip than you think. Other than your money and luggage these are the greatest essentials of any road trip travel.
