As college students, and especially as girls, we all tend to find ourselves a little lost at times, whether it be lost in a pile of homework, lost in our feelings, or just lost in our own heads. This is a time in our lives that we all the search for the validations of our thoughts and feelings in others to know that we're not alone in this crazy life of ours. Carrie Underwood has a way with words that seems to accommodate every feeling you may ever have as a college student. Let me show you how...

1. Lessons Learned

College: the time in our lives that presents itself with an excessive amount of lessons, both good and bad, that help shape us into the people we are bound to become someday. While rising to the peak of our life struggles, we learn to expect what is and to be grateful for the things we've learned and the experiences we've had along the way.

"There's some things that I regret,
Some words I wish had gone unsaid,
Some starts,
That had some bitter endings,
Been some bad times I've been through,
Damage I cannot undo,
Some things,
I wish I could do all all over again,
But it don't really matter,
Life gets that much harder,
It makes you that much stronger,
Oh, some pages turned,
Some bridges burned,
But there were,
Lessons learned"

2. The More Boys I Meet

L.O.V.E - We all want that prince charming, but let's be realistic, boys don't make it easy. In the mean time, enjoy yourself, and do all the things that make you happy.

"Cheap date, bad taste, another night gone to waste
Talking about nothing in so many words
It's not like I'm not trying
'Cause I'll give anyone a shot once

And I close my eyes
And, I kiss that frog
Each time finding
The more boys I meet the more I love my dog"

3. We're Young and Beautiful

Every girl knows college is their prime time, so stay beautiful, stay happy and enjoy being young.

"While we're young and beautiful,
Kiss me like you mean it,
Treat me like I'm special,
Cover me with sweetness,
Cause a time will come,
When we're not so young and beautiful,
While we're young and beautiful,
Living free and easy,
Here without a worry,
Dancing in our bare feet,
Cause when the summer's done,
We might not be so young and beautiful"

4. Jesus Take The Wheel

Every college girl's life motto when finals week rolls around. Pray for the best.

"Jesus take the wheel
Take it from my hands
Cause I can't do this on my own
I'm letting go
So give me one more chance
Save me from this road I'm on
Jesus take the wheel"

5. Temporary Home

Learn to cherish this place you call your home away from home, as it will forever remain a part of you on the way to where you're going in this crazy, beautiful life.

"This is my temporary home, it's not where I belong
Windows and rooms that I'm passing through
This is just a stop on the way to where I'm going
I'm not afraid because I know
This is my temporary home"

6. Little Girl Don't Grow Up Too Fast

Don't wish away the days, enjoy them while they last. Remember that life is short, and tomorrow is never promised. Do what makes you happy, and do it now, because life is too short to be anything less than that.

"Little girl, little girl, don't grow up too fast
'Fore you know it, you'll be wishing you could just go back
Don't you know there'll be plenty of time for that
Somewhere down the road?
Yeah, it's all gonna fly in the blink of an eye
You can't slow down this thing called life
So take your time and let it last
Little girl, don't grow up too fast"

7. I'll Stand By You

Your college friends are the friends you will hold in your heart for a lifetime. Help them, love them, laugh with them, cry with them, fight with them. Stand by them forever and always.

"When you're standing at the crossroads
And don't know which path to choose
Let me come along
Cause even if you're wrong

I’ll stand by you
I’ll stand by you
Won’t let nobody hurt you
I’ll stand by you"

8. Whenever You Remember

For all you seniors out there, when you look back on these days that are so quickly coming to an end, remember how lucky you are. Remember the good and the bad. Remember the people, remember this place and the way it all made you feel. Remember the way it filled your heart, because nothing will ever compare to this.

"Whenever you remember times gone by
Remember how we held our heads so high
When all this world was there for us
And we believed that we could touch the sky
Whenever you remember, I'll be there
Remember how we reached that dream together
Whenever you remember"

9. Don't Forget to Remember Me

Wherever we may all go from here, near or far, remember where you came from, and remember where you've been. Remember that you are exactly where you're supposed to be and that you will never be forgotten.

"This downtown apartment sure makes me miss home
And those bills there on the counter
Keep telling me I'm on my own
And just like every Sunday I called momma up last night
And even when it's not, I tell her everything's alright
Before we hung up I said
'Hey momma, don't forget to tell my baby sister I'll see her in the fall
And tell Memaw that I miss her
Yeah, I should give her a call
And make sure you tell Daddy that I'm still his little girl
Yeah, I still feel like I'm where I'm supposed to be
Don't forget to remember me'"

Thanks to Carrie, I hope you know you're not alone. Know that we're all going through it too, this crazy beautiful thing called life.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
