Sometimes it is just too hard to naturally look like you have your life together. You may be tired out of your mind and wishing for a winter break do over, but if you change little things in your life, you will get people thinking, “How does she do it all?” Some of these tricks are so good, you might even trick yourself into thinking your life is more put together than it is.
It is all about appearances
If you always look like you crawled out of bed, you are still wearing the same clothes from yesterday, and you have not showered in days, you might be representing how messy your life really is. If you embody a put together appearance, people just might believe you. You smell fresh out of the shower, you hair is brushed, and your breath doesn’t smell like a foot, people might want to be more like you. Pro tip: dry shampoo. It is like taking a shower in five seconds.
Clean room and house
This is sometimes hard to do when your life in general is messy. If you are always running around and trying to keep your head above water, your nasty underwear might hang out on the floor for days, but if you take the time to make your bed and get your cloths into the hamper, you might even make yourselves believe that you don’t have drawers crammed shut with junk.
Makeup routine

Spend what little time you have to prove that you have all the time in the world. Winging your eyeliner takes forever, so do it. If you really want to work hard at tricking people, layer your makeup and become virtually pore-less. Put on primer, concealer, highlighter, contorting, some random powder you were told to buy, and then add more highlighter for good measure. Oh, then fill in your eyebrows for fun. You only have to wake up 15 minutes earlier so you can paint your face to look like a new face.
Gym
You don’t actually have to look like you are Jillian Michaels, but if you attend the gym three times a week, you get to say you are going to the gym, but really you are going to walk on the treadmill for 30 minutes just to watch a guiltless "Grey’s Anatomy" episode. I bet after making this a part of your façade, you will feel mentally better about everything. "You played yourself.

Also keep your hair healthy and if your dye your hair, keep up with the color. If you cram these little things into a routine you will be able to always look like you have everything in order. Trick: invest in nice nail polish that you can do every other week and schedule an appointment with your hairdresser every couple months.
Have a planner

You can write down all your homework and it looks overwhelming, but it is worth it in the long run. You won’t forget to do extra credit assignments or forget to go to important advisor meetings. Nothing is worse than forgetting something that you wanted or needed to do. Having a planner makes it so you are a perfect human being that never misses a dead line.
Cheap clothes
Why cheap clothes? So you always have a new outfit without wasting your money. You just need different combination of clothes for people to think your closet looks like Kendell Jenner’s. Get it together and spend $20 on five shirts at Forever 21.
Smile
You might be in a bad mood and just want to lay in bed all day, but if you smile people might think you are emotionally stable and you look like a beam of sunshine. Also, whiten your teeth. If my mom taught me anything over the last 19 years, it is that teeth are important. What is better than a nice big smile? A nice, big, shiny smile. Invest in some teeth whitening strips and clean those coffee stains off of your pearly whites.
