When we are in love with someone, sometimes the words "I love you" just are not enough to express how in love we are with the person. Sometimes it can even feel irritating, just how much more we want to show them we love them. Therefore, we try to find ways to not just say it, but to express our feelings. Below is a list of eight things you can do to show your significant other that you truly love them!
1. Listen.
Nothing says that you care more than when you listen to what your girlfriend or boyfriend has to say. It can be about their day, their annoying coworker, a concern, anything! Listening is a simple way to show a person you love them.
2. Give up time.
When we want to be with someone, we make time for them, no matter what. Sometimes, you and the person both have a busy schedule, but designating a few minutes for a quick phone call or a few hours for a small date keeps your relationship strong, and it shows that you will always make time for the person, regardless of the circumstance.
3. Cook.
Cooking takes times and effort. When a person cooks for you, they have put their time and dedication into that dish. So, when you cook for them, it is like killing two birds with one stone, because you get to share a nice meal together and it is also a way to their hearts... only through their stomachs.
4. Help.
If you are living together, help each other out. Don't let them do most of the work, even if they offer to.
5. Play.
Sometimes, instead of going out, you can stay in with him or her and play their favorite games. It makes them happy that you have offered to do something that they like. It also saves money, and usually, when couples do something fun together, they form a stronger bond.
6. Put your electronics away.
With the rise of technology and apps, we can easily get distracted when we are hanging out with our boyfriends and girlfriends, which is why, whenever you are together, you should turn your phones on silent or don't even touch them. When you put your mobile devices away, it shows that person that you know who matters, and you want to be there with them.
7. Gift.
It is always nice to sometimes receive something we like from our significant other. It does not have to be their birthday or a holiday. You can surprise them by buying something they like.
8. Kiss.
Kissing someone is basically the universal action for showing affection. No matter how long you have been together, always remember to kiss! A kiss can cheer them up, make their day better, and help your relationship grow stronger.
