Be honest with yourself. If you're not a morning person, starting off your day can be a little rough. Well I've got news for you my friend! Here are 10 ways to make those early hours better:

1. Keep a glass of water by your bed.

Just grab a small glass and fill it up with water so that when you wake up you can start your day off hydrated. It's so helpful to drink water right as you wake up because you can clear your throat and get something in your belly before breakfast!

2. Make a "get ready" playlist.

Music makes everything better, so pick out some of your favorite jams and make a playlist long enough to keep you pumped up until you officially start your day.

3. Lay out your outfit for the next day.

Sometimes I just lay there in bed because I don't feel like putting an outfit together or looking through drawers because that is just too much work. That is why I always try to lay my outfit out the night before so that I can just slip it on and go!

4. Pick out a nice mug.

This may sound really silly to some people, but if you're a coffee or tea lover, hopefully you'll feel me on this one. If you have one favorite mug that you look forward to drinking out of every morning, you'll be much more excited to wake up!

5. Breakfast

The same concept as number four, if you wake up knowing you're going to have a nice and tasty breakfast, it will make you even more excited and pumped! My go-to easy, yet tasty breakfast is some good 'ol trendy avocado toast. I just mash half an avocado, sprinkle in some garlic salt, spread it on toast, and I'm off!

6. Plan out your day.

If you don't have any type of idea what your day is going to involve and what time you need to be where, it makes you even less motivated to get out of bed. So take your planner and set aside about 10 minutes to sit down and figure out what you're going to do that day.

7. Turn off electronics.

This is a big one. It is so important to let your brain relax at night. So instead of scrolling through Facebook or Twitter, take a nice book and read it until you get sleepy. This will leave you much more refreshed when you wake up, and your brain will be ready for a new day!

8. Get motivated by an inspirational quote.

This one helps me so much because if I start my day by looking at an inspirational quote it makes me that much more excited to conquer my day and get stuff done.

Yes Muhammad.

I hope these tips make your mornings a little easier. Trust me, I love hitting that snooze button just as much as anyone else. However, these small little changes will make even the groggiest of zombies, the happiest of early birds!

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
