It’s that time of the year again where everyone is asked this question: what are you doing over the summer? Your summer plans are more than just plans, they also say a lot about who you are. With that being said, continue reading to find out what kind of summer person you are.

1. The Traveler

One day their in California, the next day their in Tokyo. They post their vacation photos on social media, showing all of their new experiences and showing that life has not completely robbed them of wealth. If they are a student, they will have the most interesting stories to tell when the teacher forces everyone to talk about their summer plans.

2. The Worker

Unfortunately, the summer does not feel like a break for some people who still have to go to their jobs or attend summer classes. Some of them are tired and overworked, so once they find a moment to relax, they savor every minute.

3. The Good Party People

This group likes to turn up for the summer. They stay up really late and live life to the fullest. I call them good, not because they drink apple cider instead of vodka, it is because they know when to turn the volume down. That means they are considerate of the people around them and listen when their neighbors ask them to turn down the music. They do not want to start any trouble, they just came to have a good time.

4. The Bad Party People

These party people on the other hand, give no fucks about cops, people or even themselves. They get lost in their loud music and block out the 10 other houses around them that have people inside who have work the next day. They came to party and that is their only concern.

5. Stay at Home

This one was inspired by myself. Time is never the problem, but the lack of money usually is since the best things in life cost a fortune. But, a more general definition of this type of summer person is quite simple: Netflix and chill.

6. The dieters

Every person has that moment in their life when they decide they need to eat healthier, for most people that moment comes as the summer approaches. They start going to the gym religiously and change their diet, anything to get that summer body. Friends and family often support them on as long as they don’t start acting like Richard Simmons.

7. Nature Lovers

They love to soak up the sun and appreciate the blooming flowers. They go on camping trips, go on walks and might even plant a tree. Sunscreen and bug spray are their accessories as they explore nature’s possibilities.

8. Love the Summer, Hate Bugs

It might be their favorite season since they can go out and enjoy the weather, but they still do not have time for rude bees and attention seeking flies. They can have a good time at beaches or at an amusement park, but if one of nature’s children gets brave, the calm atmosphere is over. They will do whatever they have to in order to not end up on “Monsters inside of me."

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
