With summer knocking at the door, and responsibilities of schoolwork flying out of the window, it looks like you’re going to have to occupy your time off from school somehow. I have the perfect solution. I mean, I know you’ve probably planned to spend all summer at the pool working on your tan, or maybe you even have a summer job, but what happens when you’ve got a day off and it’s pouring rain? Answer: Netflix Binge. I don’t know about you, but laying on my couch all day in an over sized t-shirt and some sweatpants seems like a pretty good way to spend at least one day of summer vacation. So, to help you out with your Netflix binge, here’s a list of eight TV series that are binge watch worthy.
1. Breaking Bad
I have watched this entire series twice, and I’ll probably end up watching it again. Why? Because it is just that amazing. Twists and turns like you can’t believe coupled with everyone’s favorite anti-hero, Walter White, make for one seriously addictive television series.
2. House Of Cards
If you even remotely like American politics, you need to watch House of Cards. I’m pretty sure I watched the first three seasons in one week. I couldn’t help myself. Fun fact about House of Cards: the show’s creator said, “Hillary [Clinton],” when asked which real-life individual is comparable to one of the show’s main characters, according to this Buzzfeed article.
3. Nurse Jackie
This show is literally playing in the background as I’m typing this. So I’m currently in the middle of season five of this show and I’m literally addicted to it, which is kind of ironic because it is about a nurse with a drug addiction. The lengths she goes to in order to chase a high will shock you, and make you click the ‘yes I’m still watching’ button more times that
4. Grey’s Anatomy
Holy emotional roller coaster. If you want to watch a show that will literally make you feel all of your feelings at once, Grey’s Anatomy is for you. I started watching this show during my freshman year of college during Christmas break, and I finished all the seasons available by the end of my break. I’m pretty sure there were nine seasons. Totally binge worthy.
5. Once Upon A Time
If you loved fairy tales as a child, this show is calling your name. Fairy tale characters have come to life in a small town in Maine, and the twists and turns will keep you coming back episode after episode.
6. New Girl
New Girl might possibly be my favorite sit-com of all time. I crack up whenever I watch it - it’s hilarious. Each episode is only about 25 minutes long, which makes it the perfect binge watch show.
7. It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia
Okay, so this show is a little on the raunchy side, but if you have a dark sense of humor, you’ll probably enjoy it. A group of friends own a bar in Philadelphia, and attempt to make money from various schemes that never work. Hilarity ensues.
