8 Times John Cena Was All Of Us Listening To Donald Trump

Donald Trump is running for President, but you can't see me supporting him.

I feel like the past few months have been a constant victory party for Trump, and I have to wonder, how did we get here?

Donald Trump says some of the most outrageous words and phrases that I have ever heard strung together under the guise of a “Presidential platform." Below, I have listed just a few of the more shocking and disgraceful quotes said by Donald Trump since announcing his Presidential candidacy. I have enlisted 15 time WWE World Heavyweight champion John Cena to illustrate the feelings we have when Trump speaks.

1. "I will build a great wall—and nobody builds walls better than me, believe me—and I'll build them very inexpensively. I will build a great, great wall on our southern border, and I will make Mexico pay for that wall. Mark my words."

June 16, 2015 when announcing his Presidential candidacy.

So, let me get this straight. You’re going to build a wall, a roughly 2,000 mile-long wall that borders four states, and America is not going to pay a cent? Okay… But President Bush’s administration passed the Secure Fence Act in 2006 that fenced about 670 miles of the border (about one third of what Trump wants to build his wall on) and that cost roughly $2.4 billion dollars. So Mexico is going to pay $7.2 billion dollars to build a wall that only benefits America? Right.

2. "If Hillary Clinton can't satisfy her husband what makes her think she can satisfy America?"

Twitter, 2015.

You can’t use someone else’s marriage as a platform for you to stand on. Besides implying that it’s a wife’s job to keep her husband satisfied, what does this say at all about Trump? I think this is a clear indication that he’s a misogynist child taking cheap shots rather than a man capable of presenting himself as a serious candidate. Also, Trump, haven’t you been married three times? Maybe spousal satisfaction is something you’re trying to make great again as well...

3. “Look at that face! Would anyone vote for that? Can you imagine that, the face of our next president?”

Of Carly Fiorina, interview in Rolling Stone, 9/9/15

Let’s just keep this going with Trump’s disrespect of women, and also his terrible insults. Did it really seem that the worst thing you could say about Carly Fiorina was that her face was not Presidential? The fact is that Trump is incompetent of being able to comment on other candidates' actual political platforms. Also, do you own a mirror? Because this is what you look like.

4. "I could stand in the middle of Fifth Avenue and shoot people and I wouldn't lose voters."

Sioux Center, Iowa, on Jan. 23, 2016

No. No you could not. This is not even a statement about Trump. This is a statement about the American voters. Trump is claiming that the people voting for him honestly would look past a crime, a mass murder, in order to vote him President. Basically, Trump is saying that his voters value him above citizen safety, which is one of the biggest issues facing Americans today. Stop being dumb. I don't know if I'm talking to Trump or his supporters, but all of you, stop it.

5. “This is a country where we speak English, not Spanish.”

Second GOP debate, 9/16/15

Right. Okay. When you go to the mall, to the grocery store, or to your favorite restaurant, you never hear any other languages spoken. You never have the option to hear your automated telephone call in Spanish. Newsflash, Donald, the United States has more citizens speaking Spanish than Spain does. The only country that has more Spanish speakers than the U.S. is Mexico. So yes, Mr. Trump, we are a country that speaks English, Spanish, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, French, Portuguese, etc., and we do it proudly, because after all, America is a melting pot. Adios, estupido (Goodbye, stupid).

6. "All I'm doing is telling the truth. Someone's doing the raping, Don. Who's doing the raping? Who's doing the raping?"

To CNN's Don Lemon, speaking of Mexican immigrants.

After making comments about the immigrants from Mexico who enter the United States, Trump implies that the rapes and sexual assaults taking place in our country taking place at the hands of Mexican immigrants. However, according to a study in 2013, white men committed 71 percent of sexual assaults that had been logged, compared to the 9 percent committed by Latino men. So basically, Donald, white men are doing the raping. Donald, didn't you have sexual assault allegations made against you?

7. “Hey, I watched when the World Trade Center came tumbling down. And I watched in Jersey City, New Jersey, where thousands and thousands of people were cheering as that building was coming down.”

9/22/15

I am willing to admit that this could be a prime example of the famous Donald “Misspeak." We can assume that Trump means that on 9/11, he witnessed Muslims cheering as the buildings fell. However, these are the words he said. He said that thousands and thousands of people in Jersey City were celebrating. Even if there were some Muslims celebrating, there were not thousands and thousands. Overall, the statement is still absurd.

8. “He’s not a war hero. He was a war hero because he was captured. I like people who weren’t captured.”

Iowa Family Leadership Summit

I understand that this post focuses on John Cena, but just to quote another famous wrestler, Booker T., "You didn't just say that. TELL ME you didn't just say that."

This is perhaps the most outrageous and idiotic quote I have ever heard. When Trump said this, he was speaking of Senator John McCain, who was a Prisoner of War. Donald Trump had the nerve to say that a man who fought for our country is not a hero. First of all, I’ve never seen you put your life on the line for America, Trump. Secondly, a Prisoner of War is an American soldier who has been captured by the enemy. In most instances, they are tortured either for information or as a form of punishment. And yet, a soldier who survived and was able to come back home is not a hero, because he was captured? Not having respect for ALL members of our military is unacceptable for a President of the United States.

Bonus: “I’ve said if Ivanka weren’t my daughter, perhaps I’d be dating her.”

The View, 2006

This requires no explanation. He's a creep.

In conclusion, I know that soon there will be some of you convincing me to vote for Trump…

... Please. Don't.

I know we're all entitled to our own opinions, but I hope that as we go into this Presidential election, we all can do some research about the candidates we are supporting. Some of them scare me. Be smart, fellow voters.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
