Being the younger sister has it's ups and downs, that's for sure. Although you may be the "baby" of the family and "always get your way," that is a lie. Older sisters rule the world and they know it. Here are 8 things that every younger sister can relate to.

1. You are given the lifelong gift of sitting in the backseat.

Regardless of who called shotgun first, you always lose. The only time you get to sit in the passenger seat is when your older sibling isn’t there.

2. Your outfit choice is never approved.

Regardless of how lit your outfit is, it’s either "too catchy", doesn’t match at all, you’re "trying to be hipster" or you copied your older sister.

3. Regardless of how awesome your achievement is, your older sister has already done it.

Whether it is passing your driver's test, making the varsity team, obsessing over a celebrity, or that cool new song you found, she did it first.

4. Teachers call you by your older sister's name instead of yours.

No matter how many times you correct them, your name never sticks.

5. You are the first accused of moving/never returning an item you borrowed.

As usual, the necklace or shoes that “you never returned” eventually show up right where you said they'd be.

6. Your older sister is always right.

No matter how correct you are, you will always be wrong. Regardless of how good you defend yourself, you will never win. If she supports her argument with "because I'm the oldest," it's over.

7. Receiving the hand-me-downs.

Your sister will get the new up-to-date clothes from Urban Outfitters, while you’re expected to rock that vintage Ed Hardy shirt and bedazzled jeans. (hah, yeah right, we’re heading to American Eagle)

8. Your sister will always be your best friend.

No one will be there for you like your older sister. Even though you’re the "annoying little sister," that "always ruins her plans," she will always have your back, give you advice, and support you all through life. (Also, she’ll keep those secrets from mom and dad for you, because she knows you’ve got more dirt on her)

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
