School. You love it. It's awesome. Most college students are dying to go back in August, but there are definitely some things you'll miss; and now that you think about it, you already miss them.
1. Your siblings
Yeah, it may have been hard sharing a bathroom with them when you got back after having been away for so long, but you know that they always had your back—and were the only ones willing to hear all your crazy college stories.
2. Home-cooked meals
Dorm food is okay and eating out is fun, but nothing compares to a meal cooked in your kitchen by someone you love.
3. Your bed
If you brought your bed to college, you are a lucky soul. For the rest of us, we will never get a truly good night's sleep until we are back in the bed we grew up in.
4. Your high school friends
Whether or not you grew apart from most of your friends in high school, you undoubtedly have at least one person you can only really see when you're at home. And you will miss them a lot. And seeing their Instagram pictures will make you sad and miss them even more.
5. Down time
At school, the schedule is basically "go go go" all the time. Being home allows for a little more downtime and space to move around and relax.
6. Animals
During the school year, seeing a dog on campus is just another reminder that your pet is at home, without you, probably really sad all the time (right?). It's heartbreaking.
7. Your favorite restaurants
Unless your house is 10 minutes away from your college, you probably won't be going to all the restaurants you usually do when you're at home. This can be hard, but it makes that restaurant even better when you come home and go.
