So unfortunately for some of us college students, freshman year didn’t go as planned. We stayed up way too late first semester doing other things than studying. Mostly listening to music too loudly and dancing around our dorm rooms like no one was watching. Or just watching “one more” episode of OTH (One Tree Hill), Gossip Girl or maybe a whole season of Grey's.
That’s why unfortunately, we are in this terrible thing called summer school. It is supposed to be summer. We aren’t supposed to have school. Here are 10 feelings you get when you take summer classes (or at least how I feel when I’m taking my online summer classes).
1. It's the first day of class and you got this!
Turns out you were just faking your excitement.
2. It is still the first day and you already are having a mental breakdown
You slowly want to crawl in a hole and die.
3. Then you realize that there is a test next week and you have no idea what is on it
Lol….maybe I should have been studying instead of blogging.
4. It is 11:30 and you still have four assignments to go
Just shake it off! Only 29 more late nights
5. The moment you think you have finished all of your work for the day...Only to realize you missed 2 assignments.
Yeah. I think I will just take the L(oss) on this one… and the 25% off my grade.
6. Getting close to the end of the semester and looking like.
Oh, hey there, summer! How you doin'? (Friends Reference. I am a little obsessed with Netflix).
7. To only realize there are still 2 more weeks and a final standing in your way of no more summer school
I’m never going to make it.
8. And finally finishing that final and running out of that virtual class... not even stopping to breathe.
Lets pray we never have to do that again. But knowing me I’ll probably have to next summer.
So you made it! Making it out of a summer class online or at school is like sweet freedom. Hopefully you made the grade you wanted or at least close enough to the grade you wanted. "It will be easy," they said. "It shouldn’t be too hard," they said. Well, they LIED. But the good news is that you are done with it, or at least halfway done with it (I still have two weeks left). And you will never have to take it again. Unless, of course, you make the same mistakes that put you in this situation in the first place. Lets hope not!
(P.S we all know we look like this after the final exam....Our brains are just mashed potatoes)
