8 Things That Make Moving into Your Own Place Amazing

It's always exciting when you finally get to move into your own place, whether it's your own apartment, condo, or house. You have housemates, or you live alone. You no longer have to live in a school dorm, and you no longer have to live with your parents. It's a valuable part of life when you move out on your own, and learn how to live. It proves that you are a capable human being, and that you are able to manage your life well. You have bills to pay, you learn how to do your laundry, cook, clean, and how to balance your budget. All. By. Yourself. You'll feel much more accomplished knowing that you made your life the way it is.

Here are 8 things that make moving into your own place amazing:

1. Your newfound independence

You can do anything you want in your own place. You won't have to listen to your parents nag you about doing chores, and you won't have to worry about having an R.A. You're in charge of everything! Your house, your rules.

2. You learn how to feed yourself

You finally have your own kitchen, and can learn how to cook for yourself properly. Say goodbye to meal plan and frozen TV dinners, and say hello to recipe books and real food!

3. You have more responsibility

You're growing up. You're now in charge of handling your bills and cleaning your place; the only one you can rely on for a great living situation is yourself.

4. You can decorate

Freedom of expression is always nice, especially for your home. You can decorate your place any way you like, and you can even choose what furniture you want!

5. You can probably have a pet

What's better than being able to have your best friend by your side at all times? No more lonely nights, and now your dog or cat can be your constant cuddle buddy.

6. New memories

Having your own place means that you can make new memories with your housemates.

7. No need for shower shoes

Because now you can actually step on the floor barefoot without the fear of getting some sort of disease, since it's your own bathroom. Who wouldn't love that freedom?

8. You're cleaning after yourself, and no one else

Cleaning isn't too bad anymore, now that you're only responsible for cleaning up messes you've made.

Moving into your own place will give you the responsibility and freedom to do what you want, and realize what you like or don't like. It will help you in the future, and you'll know how to take care of yourself. Adulthood is fun because it's a learning process, and no matter where you live, if you're with the right people, you'll be guaranteed to have a good time. Now give yourself a pat on the back, because you deserve it. Independence is extremely important because you have to be able to do things on your own. As we grow up, we gradually become more and more independent with our life decisions. Moving into your own place is a huge step towards becoming more independent, and it will definitely make your more successful in the future. It'll give you more knowledge, confidence, and a stronger set of skills to better prepare yourself for anything that lies ahead!

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
