Now that we are officially half way through second semester and the weather is definitely looking up, here are 8 great things to look forward to these next 8 weeks before the end of the school year:
1. Shorts, sandals, sundresses- The most obvious springtime success. Getting to put away the sweaters, jeans, and boots is basically the highlight of my semester. Warm weather clothes are just so much more comfortable and fun.
2. Darty season- It's warm enough to party in the daytime. That's a victory.
3. Outside class- It's warm enough that some professors will hold class outside on a particularly nice day. Another victory.
4. Studying outside Benson- While I'd never say I'm looking forward to studying, I can't say I resent studying at the picnic tables in the Benson/Tribble courtyard.
5. Drinking iced coffee- When I'm studying at that picnic table, I'm usually drinking an iced coffee. It's nice that it isn't 20 degrees anymore so I don't have to feel weird for wanting to drink an iced coffee or passion fruit iced tea lemonade.
6. Sitting on the Shorty's patio- Since the patio isn't covered in snow or blocked off anymore, it'll soon be swarmed by large groups of kids ordering pitchers and nachos every afternoon. It's fun for those enjoying that moment and a bit of a laugh for those who are walking by, still having to attend another class.
7. Carolina Cup/beach weekend/formals/posties- Is it just me or are all the Greek events just more fun this semester?
8. Knowing we're one step closer to summer- While we have a lot to get through before then, it's still nice to know that we're in the homestretch.
