8 Songs You Need To Listen To When You Need A Confidence Boost

Everyone knows that music can bring about certain feelings and specific memories. Songs can help people pump up for a night of partying while other songs can remind someone about a single memory that makes them smile.

Lately, I've been very attracted to songs that help me on days where I just need a pick-me-up and on days where I just need something to remind me that I am, indeed, a kick- butt woman. And as I thought about it, I realize that many other people, men and women, also have those days where they need to be reminded of the same exact thing. So, here is a list of songs that can hep you boost up your self- confidence!

Flawless by Beyonce

Let's be honest, most of Beyonce's songs are confidence boosters, but none can measure up to Flawless. If there's one song to take away from this article, it's this one because it reminds you that you did, indeed, wake up like this.

Titanium by David Guetta and Sia

Mix Sia's vocals singing inspirational lyrics with Guetta's infectious bass drop, and you get a confidence booster that you can belt out and dance along to!

Stronger by Kanye West

This song marked the rise of the whole "Love yourself like Kanye loves himself." In my opinion, that's the only self love advice you ever need.

Revival by Selena Gomez

Probably the lesser known song out of all of the ones on this lest, but this really is a hidden gem. Off of her latest album that talks about rebuilding herself, Gomez's lyrics will inspire anyone to have a revival of their own.

Born This Way by Lady Gaga

This song is the anthem to anyone who feels out of place. Lady Gaga teaches us that no matter how different we are, we should embrace those differences because it makes us who we are.

Confident by Demi Lovato

If you couldn't already tell by the name, this song is just about being unafraid in your confidence. Thanks, Demi.

Feelin' Myself by Nicki Minaj ft. Beyonce

All you really need as a confidence boost is Nicki and Bey talking about their success and making you feel like you accomplished something, too. Because you will and I believe in you!

Stronger (What Doesn't Kill You) by Kelly Clarkson

This song can serve as both a confidence booster and an anthem for those bouncing back from a relationship. Don't be afraid to belt this out in your shower.

So start compiling your playlist for those days when you just need a confidence boost, and don't forget these essential songs!

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.

Finals week is upon us. It is a magical time of year during which college students everywhere flock to the library in attempt to learn a semester's worth of knowledge in only a week. For some students, it's their first time in the library all semester, maybe ever. Others have slaved away many nights under the fluorescent lights, and are slightly annoyed to find their study space being invaded by amateurs.
