Everyone has their own opinions when it comes to horror movies. Some will say they love them, others will avoid them at all cost. I am not a fan of scary movies, nor have I ever been. Even as a college student, I rather be inside watching a Disney movie than a movie that will cause sleep deprivation for the week. Here are a few things that people who despise horror movies can relate to.
1. You make up every excuse in the book to avoid seeing the movie with friends
2. You tend to wonder how stupid horror movie characters are when they go into sketchy areas in the film
3. If you end up being forced to watch one, you have your eyes covered literally the entire time
4. Even if you have your eyes shut, you get scared just by hearing everyone else react to it
5. You hold your friend's hand so tight they have marks from you
6. You might have to sleep with the lights on

7. You may or may not have nightmares for a few days (or weeks)
8. You have to tell everyone you encounter after the movie that you went to see it and survived through the whole thing. (As if it were an accomplishment; because to you, IT SURE IS!)
9. You can’t wait until it’s over, in fact, you're probably counting down the minutes in agony
10. You get up as soon as it is over. You're happy you stuck through it, but never want to see it again
So, thank you horror movies. I probably won't sleep for the next few days, but I have to remember it's all fiction...or is it?
