8 Restaurants To Hit In Boston

8 Restaurants To Hit In Boston

'Clam chowdah' and 'Dunkies'? No. These are not the only aspects of Boston that taste good. Having grown up in the Boston area, my family and I have attended lots of restaurants in the city with great food and atmosphere. Here are eight of my favorites (in no particular order).

1. Grotto

Location: 37 Bowdoin St, Boston, MA 02114

Entree to Order: Chicken Parmigiano

Atmosphere: Small restaurant, dim lighting and italian cuisine. Great for date night or dinner before a show.

2. Boston Chops

Location: 1375 Washington Street, Boston MA

Entree to Order: 14 oz. Prime NY Strip

Atmosphere: Hip and younger crowd, modern atmosphere. Great for a family night out, and definitely enjoy the bottomless fries with your entree.

3. Nico

Location: 417 Hanover St, Boston, MA 02113

Entree to Order: Spaghetti Con Polpetta

Atmosphere: Small restaurant in the North End, a hidden gem amongst plenty of tourist spots.

4. Abe & Louie's

Location: 793 Boylston St, Boston, MA 02116

Entree to Order: Aged Prime NY Sirloin

Atmosphere: Bigger steakhouse, a pricy choice but worth the money. Steaks are all amazing, and delicious popovers are served to start.

5. Paramount

Location: 44 Charles St, Boston, MA 02114

Entree to Order: Made-To-Order Omelette

Atmosphere: Best for breakfast or lunch, a busy and upbeat atmosphere. Food is cooked right in front of you.

6. Red Lantern

Location: 39 Stanhope St, Boston, MA 02116

Entree to Order: Tik Tok Chicken

Atmosphere: Very young and hip atmosphere, with loud music and a late night scene. Great spot for drinks and dinner with friends.

7. Ruth's Chris Steakhouse

Location: 45 School Street Near the Omni Parker House Hotel, Old City Hall, Old City Hall, Boston, MA 02108

Entree to Order: New York Strip

Atmosphere: Very expensive, but great for special occasions. Steaks are cooked and served on very hot plates, and sides and desserts are delicious.

8. Rustic Kitchen

Location: 210 Stuart St, Boston, MA 02116

Entree to Order: Baked Rigatoni

Atmosphere: Perfect location for before a show, food is great and staff is pleasant.

**Personal preferences were listed for entree choices. Clearly, I enjoy a nice NY strip.
