If you're lucky like me, your mom or your dad has an awesome sister who you get to call your aunt. And if you are extra lucky like me, you have a "cool aunt" (which she loves every time you refer to her as that).

If you do have an aunt, here are various reasons you'll be able to relate to about why your aunt is also your very best friend:

1. She tells you how it is

Sometimes you don't want to hear it, but she always tells you the truth. That's why going to her for advice is the best. She always means well, even if she knows the truth will hurt you. But, she's always right and it always benefits you in the long run.

2. She is the one to call when your feeling helpless

Boy problems? Call your aunt. Friend problems? Call your aunt. School problems? Call your aunt. Even though you love and trust your parents to death, sometimes there are things you don't want them to hear. You know she has your word and you have hers, and she will never use any of the secrets you tell her against you.

3. She is the best to go to for guy advice (cause she's been there, and back)

Just like your mom, your aunts can pick out the bad ones right from the start. She's also been dating for twice as long as you, so who's better to ask guy questions? She'll tell you straight up if he's a weirdo, or if you deserve better. And half the time, she'll tell you, you deserve better.

4. She is your role model

Yes, I do look up to both of my parents in many ways. But it's awesome to also have that one other person to look up to, also. You admire her strength and her resilience. You admire how she can act like your mother in one minute and your best friend the next. She's awesome, and everything you want to be when you grow up.

5. She stands up for you in front of your parents

When your parents say no, who is the first person you run to? Your aunt. Whether it's your mom's sister or your dad's, she will have your back. She's always the one to convince them to let you have a little fun. She knows you and always try's to see your point of view, and speaks on your behalf when your parents are against you.

6. She spoils you like crazy

If you have an aunt like mine, you're extremely lucky because she has the most amazing wardrobe ever. And guess who gets all her clothes and shoes when she no longer wants them? Yup, me! No matter what my age, she will always pamper me like her little baby niece. Not only on birthdays or holidays but even simple visits, she makes sure I never leave empty handed.

7. She tells you the best stories of your parents from when they were younger

What's better than hearing embarrassing stories about your parents from when they were younger? Literally nothing. Aunts tell you stuff your parents never wanted you to find out. Yes, dad, I know how you made and sold fake I.D.'s in high school, and yes dad, I will forever hold that against you.

8. She loves you unconditionally

Even though she may have kids of her own, she will ALWAYS treat you like her own. She's your mom, aunt, and best friend all in one and that is the greatest thing to have in life. Whether you are a hot mess or the angel child, she will love you no matter what. No judgments, just constant, wholeheartedly love.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
