Some people love the winter; they love relishing in the snow, keeping up with old traditions and going ice skating with friends. While, yes, I will admit that all of those do sound amazing, I can't be convinced that winter is the best season. For me, winter is the absolute worst and I am yet to be convinced otherwise. Out of the four options we have, I can think of numerous reasons why any other season can be better than winter. And, yes, I know I live in the Northeast. No, it is not as easy to "move somewhere warmer."
1. The freakin' cold
No, I don't love having to dress in 47 layers when I walk outside to my car in 19-degree weather.
2. Having to clear my car off
I can't even get in my car right away because there's a layer of ice on it!! Yay!!
3. It gets dark at 5 p.m.
It is literally pitch black at 5 p.m. This only makes me exhausted and crave my bed, but sadly life won't allow that.
4. Black ice
Honestly, just stay in your house. This is your safest option.
5. There's nothing to look forward to after New Years
Winter is depressing.
6. Layer on layers on layers
Once again, layers aren't ideal.
7. Motivation is at an all time low
How can you be motivated when all you want to go do is sleep and eat?
8. Food becomes scarce
No motivation = no trips to the grocery store. Food. Becomes. Scarce.
