I'm a Spring baby, I love going to the beach in the Summer, and I love the holidays in the Winter... but Fall is something special and I can't wait for all it has to offer.
1. Halloween!
I love everything that Halloween brings each year. The movies each year (Hocus Pocus!), the trick or treating (I find a way to go every year), and the costumes that people come up with (I was a raccoon one year for the heck of it). The candy you're able to get. Candy corn was a wonderful invention. I enjoy carving pumpkins with my sister and making ghoulish faces. Speaking of pumpkin...
2. I'm a sucker for pumpkin-flavored products.
I certainly will admit to having a love for pumpkin spice lattes from Starbucks. Also pumpkin flavored coffee creamer. Pumpkin flavored bagels. Pumpkin flavored cookies. Pumpkin butter. Pumpkin seeds. Just pumpkin in general. I like that it isn't offered all year long or else the appeal of it would be lost.
3. Also the apple flavored products.
Warm apple cider on a brisk day is just what the doctor ordered. The same applies as it did with pumpkin. If it was offered all year long, who would want it? A freshly made apple pie with a dollop of vanilla bean ice cream is a perfect fall dessert for any occasion.
4. The weather. Specifically sweater weather.
When the weather isn't too hot and isn't too cold... Just right. Not needing a lot of layers, but enough to deal with the brisk air. Boots, jeans, sweater, scarf... It's a perfect combination. It's wonderful weather to cuddle up with a loved one under a blanket with that apple cider I talked about.
5. The leaves changing color.
I absolutely dislike when the leaves descend to the ground, but before they reach that step, they change to beautiful shades of red, orange, and brown. A drive through the country is perfect during this time because the scenery is wonderful to gaze at.
6. Bonfires.
Getting together with a group of friends to have a bonfire during a starry night is a great hangout. Making s'mores and making conversation with important people in your life.
7. Football season.
For fans of football season, Fall is just for you because of everything starting back up again.
8. Fall television premieres.
A plethora of shows are making their premiere once Fall starts up. Whether it be a show returning or a brand new one trying to make its mark.
Each season has wonderful aspects to offer everyone and each person holds their own opinion to which is their favorite, but hands down, Fall holds a special place in my heart.
