Being in a sorority is a pleasure that many women all over the country have the gift of enjoying. Having sisters is one of the biggest blessings in my life. I wouldn't be who I am without them. But in the midst of studying, working and trying to become a productive adult, we forget to thank those who have always been there: Our sisters.

1. Never judging me

I’m a self-proclaimed weirdo. I know that sometimes I’m just off the wall crazy, but you guys never judge me. In fact, you usually join in on the weirdness.

2. Reminding me that boys aren’t worth the tears

When a f*ckboy comes into my life, you never fail to remind me that he isn’t worth my time or tears. You pick me up, wipe my tears, straighten my crown and keep me going.

3. Being my family away from home

We all know that being away from home can be hard, but you guys make it so easy. I know that at any time, you guys are there to guide me or stand by my side as I make my mistakes. And I wouldn’t want anyone else in that position.

4. Those nights I don’t remember, but you do

Since I’m human, I sometimes take one shot too many. When those nights end, you all are the reason that I have my phone, wallet, water and ibuprofen waiting in the morning. Thanks for that.

5. All the times I pushed you away and you kept coming back

Even if I don’t realize it, I push people away sometimes. Often, those people just give up on being in my life, but you all refuse to let that happen. You all continue to show me that regardless of if I push you away, you’ll always keep coming back.

6. Netflix and chilling

Some of my best memories with you guys are just chilling together and watching a movie. Plus, I know that you guys won’t hit on me mid-movie or judge me for eating a whole carton of ice cream while I cry over Ryan Reynolds' abs.

7. Giving me the strength when I didn’t think I had any

Life can get me down sometimes, and you guys are the ones who always pick me back up. If it’s with words of encouragement, or actually picking me up off the floor, you ladies have never given up on me.

8. Loving me in all my forms

I have a lot of flaws, and you all seem to love every single one of them. No matter what happens, I know that you all are the loves of my life. Thank you for being my friends, drinking partners, study dates and, ultimately, my sisters.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
