8 Quotes From Winnie The Pooh That Can Change Your Life

Deep in the 100 acre wood where Christopher Robbin played, we found our young selves immersed with life tips and quotes that we may remember. Yet, being so young, you don't look into the words of a show so deeply and how they could actually affect us, how we view everyday life. Now that we are a little older, we can finally go back, and see what Winnie the Pooh and all his pals really meant.

"If you live to be 100, I want to live to be 100 minus one day so I would never have to live a day without you."

We all have that special someone that we can call our best friend, lover, family, the list can go on. As you read it, I bet you were thinking about someone, weren't you? This quote doesn't only resonate with us, but it also keeps the important people in our lives in our thoughts.

"You are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think."

This is one of my favorite quotes from "Winnie the Pooh," as it makes you question yourself and your worth. "Yes, I am brave. Yes, I am strong. And yes, I am smart. I can get through anything."

Piglet: "How do you spell love?

Winnie: "You don't spell it... you feel it."

Love is what makes the world go round. It's an emotion we have yet to fully understand. You can know nothing, and you can still perceive love. It's probably one of the most delicate and respected feelings we have come to know.

"Sometimes the smallest things take up the most room in your heart."

Life isn't about the big things. That is what this quote is really getting at. We don't need to be materialistic to enjoy life. The simple things are what mean the most.

"How lucky am I to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard."

This quote now, really makes us appreciate the people that have been there, the ones that have seen us at our worst and still love us. We should never take those people for granted and always hug them for a few seconds longer when saying goodbye.

"It never hurts to keep looking for sunshine."

When we are in a storm and there isn't a light at the end of the day and we are just about to give up, don't. When that sunshine comes poking through, the best is just about to happen, but that takes patience. Keep looking for the sunshine when you're in a storm, because storms don't last forever.

"If there ever comes a day when we can't be together, keep me in your heart, I'll stay there forever."

Life is so short and we won't be around forever. Remind the ones you love how much they mean to you and that you will always be here no matter what happens.

"Life is a journey to be experienced, not a problem to be solved."

Stop. Slow down. Enjoy the ride of life. To live a life that seems perfect can be exhausting. That's what problems are. You must figure out the problem perfectly to get the solution. Journeys are never perfect; there will be bumps in the road, you may run out of gas, and it will take effort to get to where you're going. Yet, the view at the end of the day will be worth every thing you've been through. Take it all in.

Everyone has their own versions of Winnie the Pooh's quotes. Not everyone's will be the same. I hope the ones I have shared with you today linger with you every day. I hope they impact your life in some way and you find meaning in them, whether it be what I said, or how you perceived the quote. Winnie the Pooh was with us when we were young and still has a lasting impact on us today. He was out friend then, and now. Most importantly, now. The things he said in every episode or movie had a meaning. Go find your meaning and live with it.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
