Thanksgiving break: the most anticipated college break of all time. The leaves are changing colors. It’s sweater weather. You finally get to see your family and friends. Time to shop until you drop on Black Friday. There are just a few short weeks until Christmas. And let’s not forget about all of the turkey, mashed potatoes, and stuffing you’ll be eating on Thanksgiving Day.
But just when you thought Thanksgiving break would be a nice, relaxing break from your stressful college life, you realize it’s not going to be…because when it comes time to seeing your relatives, you’ll be bombarded with dozens of questions about your college experience. And suddenly, that break from all-things-college-related becomes nothing but a distant desire.
So, from one college student to another, here are 9 questions to avoid this Thanksgiving:
1. How are you doing?
2. Do you have a boyfriend yet?
3. How are your grades?
4. Do you have a job?
5. Who is that boy in your picture?
6. Have you decided what you want to do with your life yet?
7. Did you gain weight?
8. What do you do on the weekends?
9. Do you go to a lot of parties?
Happy Thanksgiving everyone! And good luck answering these dreadful questions...
