It's that time of the year where you can wear makeup without worrying about flaky skin from the winter cold or sweaty, sliding makeup from the summer heat. I've compiled a list of some high-end and drugstore makeup products that will be worth every penny of your college budget.
1. Lorac PRO Palette ($44)
Okay, it's kinda expensive for an eye shadow palette. However, you can create so many looks with it, whether you're going for a simple nude or smokey eye, that it's worth the splurge. Plus, it’ll last you the whole school year and will work for any event you need.
2. Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Pomade ($18)
I was a religious Brow Whiz user for the longest time, but it got too expensive and ran out way too quickly for me. The Dipbrow Pomade is cheaper and lasts so much longer. Not only that, it's a lot more precise, so you can make sure those brows are on fleek everyday.
3. Colourpop Lip Products ($5/$6)
Everyone in the makeup community has been obsessing over these, not just because of how cheap they are, but also because of their strong pigments, matte finish, and non-drying properties. I’ve bought about almost every nude lip color there is from their line, with Beeper and Echo Park as my favorites so far.
4. Kat Von D Tattoo Liner ($19)
Out of all the liquid liners I've used—trust me, I've been through plenty—this is my favorite and the most decently priced one. If you're struggling to get the perfect cat-eye, try this liquid liner.
5. NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer ($29)
This may be my "holy grail product". It covers under-eye circles, blemishes, and any discoloration on your skin. It's also super blend-able and has amazing coverage. Since I still get hormonal breakouts, this is a must-have product for me.
6. MAC Studio Sculpt Superblack Lash ($17)
I've never been one to spend more than $10 on mascara, but this one is so worth it. I have short, thin lashes that need lifting and lengthening, and this mascara does just that. It’s wand looks a little iffy, but I swear it works wonders.
7. Too Faced Primed & "Poreless" ($30)
I've used many types of powders throughout my makeup journey, and this has consistently been one of my favorites. I have oily skin, and this helps control the oil while also setting my foundation. It’s also compact, so it's easy to just plop it in your school bag to reapply when needed.
8. Garnier SkinActive Micellular Bi-Phase Cleansing Water ($6.99)
With all the makeup products listed already, I also had to include a makeup remover. I'm a religious user of the Neutrogena Makeup Cleansing Towelettes, but they're expensive unless you buy them in bulk. This cleansing water does the job well; it breaks down your eye and face makeup with a few wipes with a gentle towel. Sometimes I only take off my makeup using this when I'm too lazy to walk to the bathroom.
