Well, here at Loyola, we're back from Spring Break, hopefully in one piece. While I'm pretty sure everyone here will be sharing about all the awesome things that happened over their breaks, I'm certain that nobody else is going to be writing about this: this year, over Spring Break, I went to the mall.
...Hey, not everybody had big grandiose plans for their breaks. I just wanted to catch up on my sleep, write the paper I was assigned, and hang out with my family. And hang I did.
When Mom says we're going to the mall:

I do not naturally take to shopping. I am a very contented person, and don't really...want anything most of the time. My mother, though, decided I needed new dresses for job interviews and formals. I already had an interview dress and plenty of fancy gowns. Why?
When Mom says she'll get me a Shamrock Shake:
She knows me.
When we get to the mall:
Dear god, where do we begin? There's so many clothes!
Actually trying to find dresses:
Why are there so few solid color dresses that look nice and professional? Why are there such strict guidelines for "professional dresses" anyway?
Why do shoulderless dresses exist?
I noticed several of these on display while shopping: is this a trend now? I don't get it. It's like sleeveless with sleeves? Pick one or the other. It bothers me.
...Mom got me one as a "casual dress", because shopping,--and I actually liked it.
Once you're done picking things out:
...Mom, where are you? I have an uncomfortably large bunch of dresses hanging off my arm.
Actually trying the dresses on:
Why doesn't it fit me? I wanted it to fit me so bad. It looked awesome on the hanger, but now I don't even know why I wanted this in the first place.
When you find the perfect dress:
Oh my god, I am beautiful, this is the best dress I've ever worn! Even after all the other ones last time!
All in all, I had a wonderful time. I'd say it was worth it. The Shamrock Shake as well.
Mmm. Milkshake.
