If you're anything like me, you have most likely been jamming out to Christmas carols since the day after Thanksgiving. There is a wide variety of Christmas songs and it seems impossible to pick a favorite. However, I feel as though most people can agree the ones listed below are some of the best. With the holidays fastly approaching, what better than listening to music while tackling your Christmas to do list?

8. It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year

This upbeat song really highlights how most people feel about Christmas. Personally, when I hear this play on the radio, I feel more eager for Christmas to arrive. It makes me want to rush around and buy all my gifts. The holidays are truly celebratory and jolly.

7. Carol of the Bells

There are several versions of this well known Christmas hit. However, my favorite one would have to be the instrumental version notoriously played by the Trans Siberian Orchestra. Most individuals would agree that listening to the orchestra perform is intense and captivating. I have never met someone who doesn't enjoy this song.

6. Let it Snow! Let it Snow! Let it Snow!

This Christmas song is a perfect match for those who enjoy celebrating a white Christmas or are just a fan of the winter. Whenever I hear this song I reminisce about being home snuggled up in a blanket, drinking cocoa, and watching a holiday movie. Christmas with snow is simply breathing taking and beautiful.

5. Jingle Bell Rock

Many films have made this well known holiday song even more popular. This Christmas jam makes you want to get up and dance. It lifts your spirits making you want to completely rock out! Also, the song itself has some catchy rhymes and phrases.

4. Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas

This slower, festive tune is a sweet reminder to embrace all the aspects that make Christmas great. Remember to be kind and don't allow the little things to ruin important characteristics of your life. When you listen to it, you can easily tell it is simple and old fashioned.

3. Baby it's Cold Outside

This popular duet has been around for years and it continues to be well loved. For those of us who have had crushes, we have been in similar situations of persuasion. The lyrics describe I man wanting a romantic relationship with a woman who is reluctant but gives into his charm. Couples find themselves sing this song to each other.

2. Santa Baby

Santa Baby is a promiscuous song that allows girls to feel good about being a little greedy during the holiday season. Sometimes people just have more expensive needs and rely on Saint Nick to fulfill them. Also, it is fun to sing along in a nasally, character voice. This flirtatious jam is great for winter performances such as choirs.

1. All I Want for Christmas is You

People can usually recognize this song the second it starts to play. Even if you're not a fan of pop music, this is near the top of everyone's list for favorite Christmas tunes. It shows that all you need around the holidays is your significant other or somebody you care about deeply. Also, it dismisses the rumors that some individuals are all about receiving presents during Christmas. Most of us can be satisfied with spending time with a loved one.

There are hundreds of songs that could have been added to this list but these tracks are either traditional or very well known. Whether it's decorating the tree or making cookies for Santa, adding some music to the mix will boost everyone's spirit. Additionally, many movies include these classic carols making them extra festive. I hope you all have a wonderful holiday season, until next year!

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
