8 Great Things About Being A Hairless Guy
Jasmeralda

I’m a 19 year old male, and I am a hairless individual. I mean, I still have a full head of hair, eye brows, and some hair on my legs, but compared to the average guy, I’m like a waxed dolphin. I haven't grown a beard my entire life, I shave my lip maybe twice a month, and my torso may as well be a baby’s bottom. I just am naturally smooth. There’s nothing wrong with being hairy, but only recently am I realizing there’s nothing being hairless either. I’m used to so many guys poking fun at my lack of hair, but here’s 8 reasons why it’s great being a hairless guy:

1. You’re skin is silky smooth.

Maybe I’m just feminine, but I like soft and smooth textures.

2. People can’t pluck your hair.

Guys, you all have experienced it. Be it your dad, brother or friend, when there’s hair on your arms or legs, your always at threat of having that hair pulled. Being hairless just gives me one less thing to worry about.

3. My girlfriend loves my hairlessness.

Maybe not all girls are like this, but my girlfriend loves my skin being smooth, soft and hair free. She enjoys not feeling like she’s squeezing a rug whenever she hugs me.

4. It’s much easier to get clean.

After going to a beach, a few of my companions who have the gift of growing hair had sand caked in their beards, on their legs and on their arms. Aside from a little bit of sand caught in my legs, the beach stayed at the beach rather than on my body.

5. You don’t have to shave.

One thing I have always appreciated to a certain extent is the fact that I almost never have to shave. This massively simplifies my life, where I can just get up and walk straight out the door (with clothes on, of course). Not to mention that I avoid any shaving cuts.

6. Your hair doesn’t get caught.

Observing one of my good and hairy friends, I’ve noticed his constant issue of having hair caught in his bracelets, watch and socks among many other objects. Just as bad as having someone pull your hair, but made worse by the fact that this occurs from inanimate objects. I’ll just check this off the list of things I need to worry about.

7. It's easier to dry off.

Hair just takes a very long to dry, and if you're more on the hairy side, it can be a real pain when using a towel after showering or swimming. Lucky for me, being the hairless individual that I am, I can practically step out of water and be instantly dry.

8. You can (technically) move faster.

Maybe it’s a stretch, but hairless means less drag from air and water, not to mention less weight on your body. This provides optimal conditions for speed.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
