Summer has come to an end and students everywhere are making their way back to school. Elementary students are excited to use their brand new box of crayons, middle school kids are ready to rule the school, and high school students are dreading having to even walk back into their high school. As for college students it's so many mixed emotions that only these 10 gifs can explain exactly how college students feel about returning back to college.
1. FREEDOM!!!
College students are excited to be back to their freedom away from their parents and not to mention the college party scene. We can't help but be overly excited for what is to come from another year in college to meeting new people, having a new house, and did I already mention parties and freedom?
2. Wait, my parents are really gone?
We college students may not like to admit it, but being away from our parents makes us a bit emotional. Spending a whole summer with your family almost everyday to being away for a another school year does make us sad. If it's your first time leaving back to college or even your third time it really never gets easier to leave your family.
3. But, you get to see your friends again!
One of many things that college students look forward to is seeing all their friends. This isn't like high school where you see the same people in school that you seen all summer, these are your friends that live in different towns that you are finally reunited with and man does it feel good to see them!
4. Wait, I miss my friends from back home.
Sure being reunited with your college friends is great, but then you realize that you're leaving your hometown and your hometown friends. You just have to keep reminding yourself that you'll see them soon and Facetime and group messages will have to work for now.
5. Let the adventures begin...again
Going back to college so many new things await you. It's hard not to be excited for all the adventures that are ahead even if it's a simple road trip with friends, going to a new party spot, reaching a academic or career goal, and even graduating college!
6. Don't forget you still have to 'adult'
Yes, college is all fun and games until you get an email from your professor giving you an assignment before class even starts. It's even more exciting when you get hit with all your bills withing days of each other. You gotta love adulting, right?!
7. Finals, homework, studying, lecture hall...
You've been so excited about coming back to college and basically have tried to ignore the fact that homework, finals, and studying still exist. So when it all hits you at once the night before you start to freak out a little getting sudden flashbacks of long stressful nights in the library.
8. But, you're still happy to be back
Even though you will miss your friends and family so many new things are coming your way and even with all the stress you're still excited to be back to the college life.
