The supermarkets are stacked with candy, and neighborhoods are full of pumpkins because Halloweek (a.k.a the best week ever) is among us once again. Don't worry, if you haven't been able to hit the costume store to seek out what you're gonna be this year, you're not alone and it's not too late. You would think the stress of midterms and the college student budget would make it hard to stunt on all the haters in an elaborate outfit... wrong! There are plenty of cheap and unique costumes that look like a work of art but are actually super simple to make. This way, you can show up to the Halloween parties in style without looking like you pulled something out of your closet 10 minutes before.

1. Medusa

Seriously, this costume is so elegant yet so simple. Ladies, if you have a white dress and some gold jewelry you're already almost done! All you have left to do is go to your local superstore or party supply shop and buy a bag of plastic snakes and then pin them into your hair. Maybe do something a little extra shimmery with your makeup and your set.

2. Mary Poppins

Here's another insanely simple costume that you can make look elaborate. All you need for this look is a black shirt, some long black socks/tights, a white button down shirt, and a black umbrella. The fun thing about this costume is you could add on other accessories too like a black hat with buttons or some long gloves to make it even more accurate, or you can keep it simple. Either way, as long as you have a big black umbrella, most people will know who you're dressed as.

3. The Joker

The joker's iconic look is one that looks very distinctive, yet again is easy to replicate. Cruise through the makeup isle and pick up some white face paint and some green colored hairspray, the lipstick you can steal from your girlfriend's bathroom drawer. Put on a purple dress shirt and a tie if you have one and you are all set. Remember, don't forget to spray the eyebrows green too!

4. Gum ball Machine

This could possibly be one of the cutest costumes ever. All it takes is a red skirt or dress you don't mind hot gluing pom-poms onto, and a piece of felt you can sharpie a price onto. This costume may take a little longer to finish just because there will be a lot of hot glue work going on, but it's still relatively easy and inexpensive, and well of course, adorable.

5. Frappuccino

Just when you thought it couldn't get cuter. You'll need a beige or green dress to start off with. Then you can hot glue some white tissue paper to the top of the dress to act as whipped cream and roll up a piece of black construction paper as the straw. Then all that is left to do is print and cut out the Starbucks logo and glue it right in the center of the dress. Voila! You look delicious.

6. Twinning Emoji

Another super cute costume, which is also possibly the best squad goals ever, is to dress up in an all black leotard and rabbit ears with your BFF. Not your average Halloween bunny, that's for sure. This may get a little uncomfortable though since the leg-raised pose is basically an idle part of your costume's presentation.

7. Zombie/ The Walking Dead Character

Werewolves and vampires are out, and zombies are all the rage this year. Get yourself someone who knows how to do good makeup and have them deck you out in a face-over that might even scare you. The good thing is, if you mess up, it's alright because the uglier the better.

8. A defeatist

I mean if all else fails, at least this is remotely clever.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
