When you reflect on your childhood, you can probably remember watching Disney movies or Disney Channel and, if you were lucky enough, you might have even gone to Disneyland or Walt Disney World for vacation. Now that you're older you've probably re-watched your favorite Disney movies and realized a few things that you didn't notice as a kid; but sometimes, those realizations can ruin your entire perspective. So, here are eight cases in which Disney movies might have ruined your life. (But if Disney movies haven't been ruined for you just yet, then you should probably stop reading this now.)

1. Beauty and the Beast

When you realized that Belle is basically into beastiality and most likely suffered from Stockholm Syndrome.

2. Lion King

When you realized that in real life a lion would never be friends with a meerkat or a warthog because of the food chain. So much for hakuna matata.

3. Snow White

When you realized that Prince Charming is basically just a necrophiliac.

4. Cinderella

When you realize that Cinderella's feet must have been very messed up for her to be the only person in the entire kingdom to fit one slipper, meanwhile you can't even get the shoes you want in your size because there's millions of people with the same shoe size as you.

5. The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh

When you realized that every character represents a different mental illness.

6. Alice in Wonderland

When you realized that the entire movie is just an animated version of someone's acid trip.

7. Finding Nemo

When you found out that in real life if Nemo's mom was dead then Marlin would develop female organs to take over the role of the mother.

8. Aladdin

When you realize there's a scene where Aladdin is in a brothel and the women don't like him because he's too poor to afford prostitutes.

9. Peter Pan

When you realized Captain Hook is basically a pedophile because the entire movie is based around an adult man, Hook, who's obsessed with a young boy and his friends, Peter Pan and the Lost Boys.

10. The Little Mermaid

When you realized Ariel's home life had to be severely messed up for her to be willing to leave everything she knows behind at fourteen years old so she can run away with a man and basically chop her tail off to get legs.

11. Mulan

When you realized Shang fell in love with Mulan when she was pretending to be a man, so Shang might secretly be gay.

BONUS: Disney Princess Ages

When you realized the actual ages of every Disney princess and start to imagine yourself as a 15-year-old Jasmine getting married to Aladdin and preparing to run a kingdom. (Let's be honest, you could probably barely keep your room clean at 15 let alone rule a kingdom.)

Although these realizations might have changed your perspective on Disney movies, there are still some realizations you can make that are for the better. Like when you realize that Disney might have waited so many years before releasing Toy Story 3 and Monsters University because they focus around college and the kids that watched Toy Story 1 & 2 and Monster's Inc. in theaters would be in college during their theatrical release. If that doesn't cheer you up, then I don't know what will.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
