I am the type of person to collapse when times get tough. Even though I may hate myself when I look into the mirror during these times, I still need a reminder that everything will work itself out and that I need to be optimistic. Here are 7 simple ways to be happy again when life punches you down.
1. Watch a Sunset
Go out to a high rock or a location where you can see for miles and take pictures of a beautiful sunset or scenery that is dear to your heart in order to remind yourself that you are beautiful just like the precious sunset no matter what.
2. Take a Bubble Bath
Fill the bathroom with your favorite scented candle and put your favorite fuzzy towel next to the shower. Take a bubble bath and just simply relax. Doing this will help you release all of your stress and worries and they will wash down the drain.
3. Treat yourself to your favorite restaurant
We all have one favorite restaurant that we like to go to on special occasions. Dress up and put on your best face and tallest high heels and hit the town for dinner. Treat yourself to a fancy dinner and a night out on the town.
4. Watch a romantic drama with your pup.
Cuddle up with a good romantic drama, your pup, a bowl of popcorn and your favorite warm blanket because you will need it for a night like this. Forget about having someone to cuddle you, simply just cuddle your pup and pop in your favorite movie.
5. Go out for drinks with friends
No need to be lonely when you have your best gals with a night out on the town and some drinks. Who knows, maybe a handsome fellow will find you striking and come over to talk to you!
6. Go shopping
Go treat yourself to those shoes you have been eyeing for weeks or that top that you tried on and was stunning. Or if Victoria Secret is have a 7 for $27 go buy some panties, it will take your mind off of things.
7. Finally, watch some fail videos.
There is just something about funny fail videos that tend to brighten a person's day. They may leave your crying from laughter and your sides hurting but you will never remember why you were down in the first place.
