We're all aware that Netflix may be this generation's greatest invention. It allows us to reminisce with shows and movies from decades ago, and it helps busy people stay up to date with the latest smash hits. But all know which TV shows are must-watches such as "Friends", "Pretty Little Liars", and "Stranger Things", but in the shadows of those big stars are these hidden gems. Whether you are new to Netflix or you're in a dry spell for entertainment, here's your list of the most underrated shows.

1. "Jane The Virgin"

This show looks like your typical, run-of-the-mill show about a virgin girl, but oh honey it is so much more than that. We follow Jane Villanueva, a young and bubbly Mexican-Venezuelan woman, through an unplanned pregnancy as she tackles becoming a teacher, finding a whole new family, keeping her love life at bay, plus a whole myriad of drama. This show is hilarious and heartwarming as you get to know and love the quirky characters, especially the Villanueva bunch.

2. "Love"

With an all too real portrayal of love in this day and age, Netflix original series "Love" depicts an honest and raw story of nice-guy Gus and too-cool-for-you Mickey as they enter a spiral of love and hurt. Although there is only one season out right now, you won't be left hanging with this modern-day tale of two young adults just trying to find out love really means.

3. "Freaks and Geeks"

This is the show you've been waiting for. It's a quick, hilarious and far too accurate portrayal of high schoolers in the 80's that will make you laugh, cry and wish you could turn back time. Whether you choose to chill with the freaks or hang with the geeks, you're going to blaze through this 18-episode series with nothing but pure love for these misfits. (Not to mention young James Franco.)

4. "Daredevil"

Possibly the best superhero show available on Netflix, "Daredevil" is a quick-paced, action-packed, heart-wrenching and hilarious show to get your heart racing. We have Matt Murdock as Daredevil. He protects the streets of New York City, specifically Hell's Kitchen. His lawyer-by-day, superhero-by-night attitude will keep you glued to the screen for this series.

5. "The Carrie Diaries"

"The Carrie Diaries" is a prequel to the cult-favorite show "Sex and the City" where we meet Carrie Bradshaw, a normal small-town girl from Connecticut who accidentally lands herself an internship at Interview magazine in Manhattan. Follow Carrie on her adventures through her new glamorous Upper East Side lifestyle as well as her struggles with her family, gorgeous boyfriend Sebastian and her loveable crew of friends.

6. "The Fosters"

Fall in love with the beautiful and unique Foster family through this show. It's filled with beautiful messages of diversity, self-love, and acceptance. This show follows the lives of each member of the Foster family as they struggle with all sorts of problems such as self-identity, family issues, and even finding a home to live in. Your heart will break and then mend again as you embark on the rise-and-fall journey that this series takes you on.

7. "Touch"

In an emotional and suspenseful 2 season series, "Touch" tells the unbelievable story of Jake Bohm, an 11-year-old boy living with autism who does not speak. We soon learn through the help of his dad, Martin, that Jake is capable of much more than people know. Follow the story of how Jake's fascination with numbers ends up being a world-shattering ability.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
