Dear Little Brother,
You probably aren’t going to read this, and when you see this on your Facebook feed, you are going to ask why. "Why is she even thanking me," right? Well, little do you know, but you have taught me so much.
Thank you for my patience. Lord knows I needed patience growing up with you like when you left your spit in the sink after brushing your teeth or took 15 years in the bathroom. But you really taught me to not take things so seriously or overthink them because things would always work out.
Thank you for all the laughs. You are honestly the funniest person I have ever met. You have made my life so much easier with your ridiculous jokes and comebacks. I sometimes just shake my head and think, “yep, that’s my brother.”
Thank you for teaching me the rules of football and how to drive a quad or dirt bike. My life is more exciting now because of you. I knew you got annoyed with all my repetitive questions and almost had a heart attack teaching me to use a clutch. But it was worth it. I couldn’t have done it without you.
Thank you for always figuring out my math homework. We all know I am the writer of the family, and I thank my lucky stars every day you were gifted in the math department. I couldn’t have survived all my math courses without you.
Thank you for setting my expectations so high. You are the most caring guy I have ever met, and I hope to one day meet a guy as respectable as you are. I am so proud of the person you are growing up to be, and I am even prouder to call myself your sister. You are also one of the most intelligent people I have ever met, and the sky is the limit for you. This life is going to take you places, and I can’t wait to see what opportunities are in store for you.
Thank you for showing me that I always have a friend. Whether I am 100 miles away or across the hallway, you always have my back. I couldn’t ask for a better person to vent to even if you say you aren’t listening. I am so glad I got to grow up with you, and thank you for being my lifetime friend. I really don’t know where I would be without you.
Best of all, thank you for making such a difference in my life. I am so happy I never had to grow up alone and you were always by my side.
