I have been visiting my boyfriend for the last 14 days, roughly, and while it has been all sunshine and rainbows, the flight home wasn't.
Everyone who has traveled by plane knows that things happen out of your control as well as the airline's control; however, it never really helps you calm down much when your time is being spent circling the same spot for 25 minutes or sitting at the wrong airport for two hours plus waiting for more fuel. That being said, here is a list of seven things I wish I would have packed.
1. Pillow.
To avoid the uncomfortable neck pain after napping on the plane and also to sleep on when you have unexpected over night stays in an airport...
2. Headphones.
That way you don't have to listen to the crying baby or talk to the person next to you if you don't want to.
3. A good book.
Because sometimes you just get tired of skipping through all the songs on your phone.
4. A blanket.
Long plane rides can get cold; so can airport floors.
5. A magazine.
Sometimes you just want something quick to flip through or look at pictures.
6. Long comfy pants.
Shorts are great in the summer, but after flying in jeans, slacks and shorts now too, I think I would prefer a pair of yoga pants, if they make those with pockets?
7. Snacks.

For those times that you have unexpected delays and you're starving when you land and nothing is open.
