All potential new members (PNMs) must go through the excitement and anxiousness that is recruitment week before becoming a member of their sorority. It's filled with good times and hard times, but the friends you make along the way will be some that last a life time. While going through this process, as a PNM you will experience a lot of different emotions and have so many thoughts on the process, just a few of which are mentioned here.

1. You realize your other friends are going out for recruitment too.

You're excited to experience this journey with a few close friends, but you're even more excited for the friends you're going to make along the way. They're all so sweet and are always more than happy to throw a compliment your way.

2. You exude confidence as you go to the first mixer.

You walk in with your newly-acquainted friends, prepared to meet some of the most amazing girls on campus. You've thought up a few good topics of conversation and you're ready to take on the day with your friends by your side.

3. You realize how badly you need a nap afterwards.

You realize the girls may be right, and this week is going to be exhausting, but it's so going to be worth it. A few cups of coffee (and maybe a nap in between) and you're good to go!

4. You realize you're going to have to speak to a lot of different people.

The nerves start to settle in again as you worry if you're going to trip over your words or embarrass yourself, but the girls always try to make you relaxed and worry free.

5. You get used to the chatting and learn to be more excited than nervous.

You look forward to talking to the girls at the mixers, especially since you're in a silence period otherwise. You have great conversations with them and are so excited to see them again!

6. You attend formal night and see how close the girls all are.

Each formal ceremony is so special, and you can't help but fall in love a little bit with each one you attend. It's moving and personal and just makes you even that more excited to join.

7. You realize Bid Day is tomorrow and you can't contain your excitement.

Your heart is pounding and your pulse is racing. You're ecstatic to finally get your bid and meet your future sisters for life!

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
