As we approach the end of the semester, college students begin to get a little nervous. No, we can't be another year older next year. No, we don't want to be closer to graduating. No, we're not ready to deal with finals. Let the panic set in.
1. "Wait, we only have how many weeks left?"
It's the final countdown, which is pretty much absolutely terrifying.
2. "Finals aren't as far away as I thought they were."
I could've sworn I just had my midterm in that class last week. I'm not mentally prepared to deal with another exam anytime soon.
3. "I still don't know what I'm doing this summer."
Am I supposed to get an internship? Maybe I should avoid real life for another summer. That sounds like a good plan.
4. "How am I supposed to get all my stuff home?"
As the year has gone on, I have gotten way too accustomed to bringing, even more, stuff to school after each break. I could barely fit everything in the car on the move-in day, so moving out will be quite an interesting event.
5. "Next year I won't be living in this room anymore."
Goodbye, small closet. Goodbye, rug that I stained. Goodbye, desk that I barely studied at.
6. "How am I supposed to be away from my friends for three months?"
How can we go from eating every meal together to not even seeing each other? The separation anxiety will be very very real.
7. "I moved in yesterday."
I cannot be moving out soon. I just started college. I'm still just as lost as I was the first week of school.
