Lots of people think going vegan means giving up your favorite snacks. And while it's true that you'll have to sacrifice your Cheetos and your Kit Kats, there are still a lot of options for your junk food needs (which we all have. Admit it.) These may surprise you:
1. Oreos - the "creme filling" inside America's favorite cookie, shockingly, contains no dairy whatsoever, making it a popular indulgence for vegans everywhere.
2. Spicy Sweet Chili Doritos - sadly, traditional nacho cheese flavored Doritos are not vegan. Luckily, the "Spicy Sweet Chili" version is completely dairy-free.
3. Hershey's Chocolate Syrup - when I was a kid, I would always make chocolate milk with this stuff. All you need to do is mix it into non-dairy milk (I prefer almond milk) for a perfectly vegan treat!
4. Pillsbury Crescent Rolls - they're advertised as "butter-flavored," but apparently, no real butter is involved.
5. Duncan Hines Classic Vanilla Frosting - no need to waste time or money on making or buying vegan frosting! Duncan Hines has created the perfect frosting for your everyday vegan needs, whether they meant to or not.
6. Swedish Fish - vegans don't eat anything containing gelatin, which is an ingredient in a lot of chewy or gummy candies, but not Swedish Fish!
7. Sour Patch Kids - another serendipitously gelatin-free candy. Happy snacking!
