Halloween is a very fun and exciting time of year, especially for college students. It's a time to put classes aside for a night or two and dress up as whatever you want. Some costumes that are out in stores are a bit excessive, though. Some exploit careers or children shows, and that isn't always what people want to see walking around on Halloween night.
1. Women's Sexy Nurse Costume
If you've ever been to the doctors, you know nurses do not dress like this at all.
2. Women's Noble Indian Costume
This and many other costumes that exhibit race and culture are offensive and not right. Plus, if you're going to do a cultural costume, use someone that actually belongs to it. Not a random model.
3. Women's Plus Size Bad Habit Nun Costume
Whats so hot about being a nun?
4. Officer Booty on Duty Costume
Say it with me, "stop sexualizing occupations that women can also hold"!!
5. Women's Sexy Marine Costume
That's taking the dressing up in your blues to a whole new level..
6. Adult Riveting Darling Costume
WE CAN DO IT, but not dressed like that. Rosie the Riveter is an iconic symbol for women's rights and women working. Why sexualize that?
7. Sexy Skunk Costume
Uhm, sure they're cute, but have you smelt a skunk? I don't think you want that sort or association along with your "sexy" costume.
You can put the word "sexy" or "hot" in front of anything and it's suddenly a provocative Halloween costume. The expectations in college and as we get older seem to be that we dress in such a way for Halloween. It would be nice not to see so many day to day occupations, shows, and nationalities get dehumanized with such costumes.
