1. We are full of life!
Biology is life, literally, so those who study biology embrace life like no one else. We are vivacious and vibrant people, energetic like mitochondria. Biology majors will bring a new light to your life when they give you their anatomically correct heart.
2. We are a diverse group of Homo sapiens.
Biology majors are like dogs. Although dogs are all of the same species, Canis lupus familiaris, each breed is unique. Biology majors are all human, but we come in all flavors. You may never meet a more diverse group of people.
3. We love all kinds of pets.
Speaking of dogs, biology majors can handle any pet, even the gross and weird ones. Stinky ferret? No problem. Slimy amphibian? No problem. Spooky snake? No problem. Creepy tarantula? No problem. No pet of yours could ever scare off a biology major!
4. We are both indoorsy and outdoorsy people.
Biology majors work in two areas, in the lab and in the field. We learn to appreciate the STP of the lab, but being cooped up all day can be tedious. Therefore, we also appreciate the joys of nature in the field. A biology major is up for any date or activity, inside or outside!
5. We are highly intelligent creatures.
Contrary to the physics cat meme, biology is not the soft science. In order to understand biology, one must also have a strong background in geology, inorganic and organic chemistry, physics, mathematics and statistics, as well as reading, writing, and public speaking. Once those subjects are mastered, a student can then begin working on the fun stuff: general biology I and II, general ecology, genetics, molecular cell biology, general microbiology, vascular plants, taxonomy & geography of flowering plants, freshwater invertebrates, vertebrate zoology, and parasitology. If you want a mate who thinks quantitatively and qualitatively, a biology major is for you!
6. We have the BEST pick up lines!
7. We are experts at reproduction and raise awesome offspring!
Biology majors give new meaning to studying anatomy and physiology, if you know what I mean. Then, if you do decide to mate for life and combine gametes, your offspring will be well cared for. Biology majors know what children need to survive and thrive. Furthermore, biology majors will be sure to vaccinate their children, teach them the significance of evolution, and raise them to respect the Earth and its creatures.
