7 Reasons Why Stefan And Elena Are Relationship Goals

Anyone who watches CW's "The Vampire Diaries" has chosen a side. Stelena (Stefan and Elena) or Delena (Damon and Elena). Or maybe Steroline, but anyone who chose that side is just 100 percent wrong. Two brothers, Stefan and Damon Salvatore, fight over Elena Gilbert for most of the series. The right choice is obviously Stelena, not only because Stefan is the most beautiful man I have ever seen, but because Stefan and Elena were made for each other. Even Nina Dobrev, the actress who played Elena, is team Stelena..

"...I know an epic love story when I see one, and I felt like Elena and Stefan had an epic love."

1. Even after four seasons together, Stefan can't get enough of Elena.

Through all their struggles, Stefan still loves Elena and would choose her. Even after Elena kissed Damon, became sired to Damon and chose Damon over Stefan, Stefan still loves her. I wouldn't love my boyfriend after he did that to me, so props to Stefan.

2. Stefan jokes about his brother stealing his girl.

Any guy I know would try to beat up the boy who steals his girl, then break up with the girl and tell everyone she is a slut. But, since Stefan is perfect, he is able to joke about the whole ordeal. Even when he secretly still loves Elena.

3. He cared about her safety from the beginning.

Before Elena knew about vampires, Stefan was already protecting her from them. He gave her a necklace with vervain in it. Vervain is an herb that burns vampires at the touch, weakens them with a taste, and eliminates the ability to compel humans who have consumed or are wearing it. Stefan did not want to be able to control Elena with compulsion (and he didn't want Damon to compel her, either) so he gave her the necklace to protect her.

4. Elena was the best version of herself when she was fully committed to Stefan.

Before Elena was sired to Damon, she was all out for Stefan. Stelena was in the best form when Elena still got the heebie jeebies from Damon. Elena was her best self when she was head over heels for Stefan because she was so happy and she trusted Stefan so much. The Stelena-before-Delena was true relationship goals.

5. Stefan would give up anything for her.

Considering Stefan has been trapped in a 17-year-old's body for 160+ years, it is safe to say he has been through a lot. He was turned into a vampire because of his ex-lover and Elena's doppelganger, Katherine, in 1864. He was just a naïve teenager who didn't know what he was getting himself into, but he learned a lot since then. But when Elena came along, he fell hard for her. He fell so hard that he was willing to give up all he had known for over a century to give her the normal life that she so badly wanted.

6. They help each other out of their darkest days.

From the millions of times Stefan saved or protected Elena, to the time Elena swore to Stefan she would bring him back after he turned off his humanity in order to save Sarah, Stefan and Elena are always helping each other out. Even when they were not dating, they had a connection that they didn't have with anyone else.

7. They loved each other from beginning to end.

Elena admits it in her last conversation with Stefan that he saved her life. Their love story actually began when he saved her from drowning in the car accident that killed her parents. That was the first of many times Stefan saved Elena, and the first time Stefan saw Elena. That is when he decided he "had to know her." If I were drowning, I would want Paul Wesley to save me, too.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
